though the night had passed, a wariness still coursed through you from last night's events.
by the time you had fallen asleep after the ordeal, the first lights of the morning had already begun to show. and by the time that you had later opened your eyes, your clock had revealed that it was only 9am.
begrudgingly you got up and took a shower. it was a desperate hope that it would stop your mind from wandering back to yesterday, as if the water could wash it away. but rather, the water that poured over your skin only gave you more time to ruminate over what had happened and what could have happened.
it made you feel even less inclined to go to the party, in fear that something more sinister could happen. but you believed it was a necessary step towards revealing who the stalker may be and quickly resolving this issue.
after getting dressed into comfortable clothes, you sat back on your bed to rest.
you decided to call gojo. knowing that he was the only person you could truly confide in, given the situation.
it only took one dialing tone before the phone was answered, gojo calling out your name with a surprising tenderness.
you explained to your white-haired friend everything that occurred before and after he had messaged you. in truth, you felt a bit silly talking about what had happened when nothing had actually happened. but nevertheless, gojo had told you that he wanted to know.
and so you indulged him before the conversation naturally diverted to more cordial topics.
"anyway," gojo sighed, "any issue you have, come to me y/n. you know i'll do anything to keep you safe," gojo said whilst laughing softly.
despite the amusement in his voice, the years of friendship between you told you that he meant it.
"thank you, satoru," you spoke. and you truly meant it.
"i'll hang up first y/n, stay safe okay," gojo spoke, concern etched into his voice.
you remained in the same position, sitting against the wall on your bed, as you watched the light from your phone slowly fade and turn off.
sighing, you leaned your head to rest against the wall.
you were tired. and although you had not done anything physically tiring, the close call last night had seemed to take its toll on you.
