"Give me one more." Jennie pushed, standing at the head of the leg press machine.

Lisa deeply regretted asking Jennie for help. It was more like she made the off hand comment that she hates the way her thighs slap together when she runs, and that's why she doesn't wear shorts to the gym that had Jennie jumping at the chance to assist. The two had been working out together for the last week and a half. While they were definitely more friendly and were getting used to seeing each other more often, there remained the fact that Jennie was also still giving Lisa a ride to and from work. So, factor in going to the gym and the two woman were spending quite a lot of time together. It was, nice. Jennie was always eager to be in Lisa's company, and Lisa, well...she was still thinking about it.  It wouldn't be for much longer though, the car pooling that is. Lisa's car was almost fixed. Probably by the end of current week she wouldn't need Jennie's help anymore.

Lisa can't say she was exactly looking forward to it. Since the holiday, the two had opened up more to each other. They were in the getting to know you stage. Jennie was always forth coming about anything Lisa wanted to know. Lisa wasn't overtly curious about much, really she steered clear about of any topics that might start a conversation about their past. They spoke regularly about mundane things, most topics leaning toward what was going on in their daily lives. Things had morphed from highly uncomfortable to less tense, to now with the both of them steadily becoming more comfortable around each other. It intrigued Jennie the more Lisa seemed to be enjoying her company. She was so quiet sometimes, but Jennie could tell there was a fire there. She just wasn't sure yet on how to express herself.

"Good, you did amazing."

"Tell that to my thighs." Lisa whined bending over at the waist, panting. She'd already made up her mind to never ask Jennie for help again.

"You have great stamina." Jennie observed and appreciated the sliver of skin showing through Lisa's crop top.  "How much muscle are you trying to build?" She asked.

Lisa shook her head. "No muscle, just weight loss."

"How much are you trying to lose then?"

"About sixty before I reach my goal." Lisa wiped the sweat from her brow and walked over to survey her body in the wall to ceiling mirrors. Turning sideways, she pat her pooch and frowned. Still so far to go.

Jennie watched with a raised eyebrow. Lisa noticed and frowned even more. "What?" She asked, not liking the extra scrutiny.

"Sixty is a lot don't you think?" Jennie murmured softly, walking up to stand just behind Lisa. She stood close enough that Lisa could feel the heat from her body.

"No, it will actually put me in the correct range for my height." She'd thought a lot about this goal over the years. Nothing was going to stand in the way of her getting there.

"You know you don't need to lose anymore weight right? You look great how you are."

Lisa rolled her eyes. "You would say that." She mumbled.

"I mean it."

"I'm sure you do." Lisa moved toward the weights, deciding if she wanted to do some arm curls or not. She probably should. "It's my goal."

"Ok, well let's work on some toning then."

That was another thing, Jennie hoped to get through to Lisa about her weight. If she only knew how perfect she already was. She understood that Lisa had a goal, and sure she could attain it with the amount of discipline she showed on a regular basis...Jennie just liked her the way she was.
