Why hath thou forsaken me? Alone with myself and nobody else? My pleas and cries they go unheard, in this place of torment and sorrow.

So many ways to say it. So many ways to break it. Any word would work; humanity, faith, trust, love. Too bad they all can come undone.
~Meaningless Lives~
Our lives are short, our impact long. We try and make our superfluous lives meaniful, but instead our attempts will be our downfall. We are pitiful creatures doomed to fail. We are being mocked from behind the Veil. Our life's a game, but it is no fun. Perhaps we already lost from day one.
