The trees are darker than the sky
They don't hide and they don't cry
They just sit and stare,
As you lay blissfully unaware
The sky is vast and infinitely big
But the trees are sturdy and haunting in the horizon
In the sunsets light, the sky is bright and the woods are void black
The trees will swallow you whole
But the sky will set you free
Because there is no greater beast, than the endless woods sitting in the endless East
Sometimes the things we should be afraid of
Are not the unknown
But the very known things
That we see everyday
And maybe those things will devour you too
As the star specked sky watches on
Knowing it all
