My eyes befall the setting sun
And with it strange new tides begun.
A feeling in my chest grows tight and taught,
The day is gone and night will haunt
The souls of all whom whisper and weep
Of lullaby's and baby eyes of sweet old memories.
That listless child now whisked away with the dawning of the night.
New life is seeded, new chances sewn, in the breasts of young now old.
Endless yearning, haunting, cold,
Forcing you to gaze back to your home.
Lost to time it sinks and falls, into the mind that clouds and lulls.
Nostalgia haunts you night and day, never ceasing, not a sway.
Over time you toil and fester, in the mind that never shelters
Feelings of hope and solice,
Finding fun in pain and offense.
In times the twist of sorrow sifts the languid heart to sway,
And turns the foolish mind to slush within its folly play.
No sooner do you fall into nieve security
That you fall to the hands of your inner child begging you to stay.
You tear away, biting, mean.
You've become like them,
Man, destroyer of men.
Killer of my child,
Ravaged and wild.
Listless soul.
Old and rotten.
No fool would choose your fate,
But Time never did play a fair game.
We're all doomed to the death of innocence.
Virtue is a fools goal.
We're all rotting.
Rotting all, all away.
Into the grounds of morn.
The stars are worn on the sky.
But now you're too old to cry.
It hurts.
The dying.
Pride kills your tears.
Saving the fears.
It's torture,
Living all these pointless years.
