The next few moons were more relaxing than her first couple of days in DragonClan. The nightmares and dreams are gone, and Frostpaw was able to have a great sleep.
Frostpaw would always enjoy training with Russetpaw and Creampaw around. They were an energetic bunch, usually cheerful. One of the only differences among the two littermates is that Russetpaw is more obedient than Creampaw.
Creampaw had ran ahead of them and fell into a hole filled with sticky mud. Frostpaw and Russetpaw managed to get Creampaw out of the hole before she sank any further, but both their pelts became muddy as well.
Frostpaw remembered Rockshade's furious look, Goldenstar's disapproving face and Smallweb's expression of amusement.
Luckily, all of them only have to clean the elder's den and the apprentice den for an entire day as punishment.
That was what Frostpaw was doing now. She was collecting dry moss to replace the old moss in the elder's den. DragonClan had no elders, so she amused the elders have joined StarClan already.
"Frostpaw, hurry up with the moss!" Russetpaw called out. "It's going to be sundown!"
Frostpaw quickly grabbed as much as she could carry and ran towards Russetpaw.
"Creampaw is heading back to camp," she explained. "We need to hurry before Goldenstar becomes unhappy."
"Sure, let's quickly go then," Frostpaw mewed.
By the time they went back to camp, the sun have already set. Goldenstar was waiting at the camp entrance with one of his half funny and half disapproving expressions.
"May I ask why you two are late?" he asked icily.
"We...um..." Frostpaw tried to make up an excuse.
"It's dangerous out there," Goldenstar hissed.
Why is Goldenstar so irritable today? Frostpaw wondered.
"There are no threats to our Clan," Russetpaw mewed in confusion. "What are you talking about?"
"Nothing?" Goldenstar mewed, looking puzzled. He lifted his paw, as if he had never seen his paw before.
"Goldenstar-" Blaststorm called but stopped when he saw Goldenstar's strange look.
"Frostpaw, Russetpaw, go back into your dens," the deputy mewed to them. "I need to talk with Goldenstar for a while."
It was more of an order. The two apprentices didn't protest as they padded into the camp.
Frostpaw was too unsettled to eat while Russetpaw met Creampaw at the freshkill pile.
That night, the dreams came back. But it wasn't the dreams that warn Frostpaw of trouble.
She heard Goldenstar's voice, but it was faint. She could barely make out the words.
"... gone. Cano-"

"How's Silverstar?" Webfoot asked Stagwind.
"She lost a life, but she'll be fine," the ThunderClan medicine cat mewed. "You can see her if you like."
Webfoot padded into Silverstar's den. "Webfoot, you came," she muttered.
"You don't look well," he mewed.
"I feel okay," Silverstar lied.
"Fine?" Webfoot mewed. "You have been like this since... Frostpaw disappeared."
"It reminds me too much when Froststar died," the ThunderClan leader admitted.
"Living too much in the past can destroy you," her older littermate mewed in concern.
"I will get over it one day," Silverstar sighed. "Maybe when I join StarClan."
"Don't say that!" Webfoot mewed. "You still have plenty of lives! You can lead the Clan for many more moons."
"I have only two lives left," she mewed softly. "And Hailfall is beginning to destroy himself with grief."
"Why are there no herbs for this?" Webfoot asked. "I hate to see you and Hailfall falling apart." His voice shook.
"Do you understand?" he trembled.
"Like when you are mentoring Dewsplash," Silverstar tried to purr, but it was half hearted.
"I felt that something terrible is coming, even now," Webfoot meowed. "I..."
"How is Timberclaw coping?" he asked, changing the topic.
"He's upset, but he seems to cope well," Silverstar mewed. "Better than any of us..."
"We have to stay strong," Webfoot mewed in determination. "For the sake of the Clan and the ones we love. Russeteyes would be devastated if she finds out we are falling apart."
"Webfoot!" Grassheart called.
"Grassheart is calling for you," Silverstar mewed. "You should go now."
"Sure." Webfoot padded out of Silverstar's den and towards Grassheart to meet him.
"Anything wrong?" he asked.
"Nothing is wrong," Grassheart mewed. "I want to talk to you in private."
After they have settled in a secret area, Grassheart began to speak.
"I found out something," he mewed, unable to hide his excitement.
Webfoot blinked. "Get to the point."
Grassheart took a deep breath. Webfoot then realised that his littermate's eyes were brighter than usual and he was staring straight into him.
"I can see again!" he announced.
