Notice about the mando contest

What is Mando I know you will be like what on earth is it well even my computer was not able to detect, what it is, so let me tell you that it was Mando is a folk dance which is a fusion of Portuguese and Goan tradition after all the reign of the Portuguese was even longer than the Britishers so they also did leave a lasting impression on the minds and hearts, back to Mando I know most of you might be a bit curious as to what it is well to be precise the songs are being composed on social issues, marriage, breakups, also an ode to some saint or important person are being written however the beat and dance is inspired by the Portuguese the language that is being used is Konkani the regional language or I should say the language that had a long struggle, especially in Goa, well for me it's my mother tongue the beauty is in the instruments that are used:  ghumot it's an earthen instrument which is being used since centuries in Goa it is being used for arti's, especially during Ganesh festival,Zagor(plays especially about hindu mythology) and mandos,guitar and violin are essential for mando to be complete. I have to tell you that it's a perfect blend of Indian and Western music and, Konkani lovers see that they preserve this and pass it on to the next generation. Every year there are competitions held in Goa.

Mando has two parts the first is especially on a minor chord and the pace of the song is also slow like a lullaby but the second part is usually fast and a major chord, and sung by almost every member of the group.

 the costume worn by ladies would be a long skirt and a blouse either silk or velvet shawl colours like red, green and gold were worn originally, a hand fan, pearl necklace and for men, it would be a suit that would be jet black with a white shirt and a handkerchief, it was removed during the 2nd section in order to show that the boy had won the heart of the girl. I have to tell you that it's not only about singing but swinging on the beat looking at your partners and also having an expressive face, initially it was performed only by the elite class in the early days.

As the exams had winded up and a new semester was about to arrive and after a short break usually at this time colleges organized various contests and there was a notice of the same, Ariel was at home as she knew the teacher's won't be showing their scores nor something exciting would happen so she decided to go to her cousin's place for the engagement, it was 11:30 and she receives a message and when she checked it she felt like rushing to her campus as she saw the brochure of the event and it was state level so she didn't want to miss it,and the so  music master also called her and asked her why she had not attended class today, she also told him that she was attending a family function and she could not attend class today and she will try to come if it is possible to attend the discussion session  at that time the ceremony ended at 12:00pm and they rushed with the buffet as people has travelled a long distance and had come to the venue,Ariel had informed her parents about the call and she needs to go early and she left the place as soon as they had food,her aunt was insisting them to wait but they told her their difficulty and left. 

As they were about to board the car Ariel said "Thanks to her dad and mom, then her brother said what kind of a person are you when will you let me enjoy?" she says " I am sorry" but it was of no use, he says "if you are sorry then for a weeks time you will allow me to watch cartoons and you will not grab the remote." as they reach the campus her brother waves her bye bye and reaches her there and goes back to the car and she heads to the music room aka the singing bowl.

When she goes there everyone is stunned to see her there and some are not able to recognize her as she looks different with her hair tied in a fishtail braid, a tint of natural colour lipstick, kajal, hoop earrings, her golden watch, a peter-pan collar shirt and formal pants with ballerinas on.
