Ice got into his car and was being driven to the White House. He thought back to when him and Slider were driving and then got into an accident.

He looked down at his hands and realized they were shaking slightly. Ever since then he hated being in cars... but sadly he had to get over it.

The car pulled up to the White House.

Ice walked into the building and was escorted to the Oval Office. He sat down as he had a copy of his project in his pocket.

Something just felt off.

"Director." A voice said behind him. He stood and saw Madam President walk in.

"Madam President". He said. She simply nodded and sat down in her chair. "Sorry for your loss Agent... it must be hard losing your right hand man and husband." She said.

Ice nodded. "It has been hard, but I have a good support system." He said. She simply nodded. "Good good..."

She extended her hand towards him. "May I have the project please." She said. Ice reached into his pocket and was about to give it to her when he then pulled his hand away.

"Why do you want this project now, Madam President..." he said. She stared at him and then pulled her hand back.

"Well..." She stood and looked out a window. "I simply want your peace project to get started." She said as she turned to him.

"What about my agents who have dying? Have you even issued an investigation with the FBI or the CIA?" Ice said as he stood.

She looked at him blankly. "Yes."

"Lie. They would've been by the agency by now." He said. "I'm sorry Madam President... I can't give you this project. It's not complet-"

A piece of metal touched the back of his head, and the sound of a gun cocking made him pause. He raised his hands up.

"At least you aren't stupid.... You don't want to make an orphan out of your daughter do you?" She said as she walked over to him and grabbed the project from his pocket.

Ice was pushed to his knees as Madam President walked over to her desk and plugged the project into her computer. "What a lovely project. I'll be sending these agents out to their locations tonight." She said as she closed her computer.

"I can't believe you were going to tell a president no." She said as she looked at him. Ice at playing his cards extremely carefully right now.

She got up and knelt down in front of him. "Do that again and I will shoot you myself." She motioned to her secret service to back off. She looked at him.

"You're dismissed, Director." Ice was dragged back up to his feet. He stared at the president and started to walk out.

"Be careful director". She said.

Ice stopped and glanced at her.

"The traffic out there is a bit rough. Wouldn't want you getting into another accident again." She said.

Ice froze at that. "How'd you know about the accident... it was classified and there was no report sent out." He said.

"Was it classified? Hm. Oops." She looked at her agent and then back at Ice.

Ices eyes widened. He turned and walked out and got into his car. He held his head and looked at his driver.

"Take me back to headquarters..." the driver nodded and drove away from the White House. Ice felt uneasy, especially since now the most powerful woman in the land now had access to his list of soon to be peace officers.

He got back to headquarters and walked back to mavericks room. He took a deep breath, as his heart rate picked up. He was afraid maybe the president did something behind his back.

He unlocked the door and stepped in. "Mav?" He said.

Maverick came into view. "Hey! How was everything?"

Ice just walked over to him and hugged him tightly. Maverick was kind of stunned. He hugged him back. "Hey... you alright?"

Ice pulled from the hug slightly and looked at him. He just nodded slightly and sighed. "Yeah..."

Maverick didn't believe that for a second, but he didn't want to push further.

"What are you up to now?" Maverick asked him.

"I'm heading to the office for the night. I have some things to work on." Ice said as he looked at Maverick.

Mav simply nodded and sighed. "Alright..." ice was falling back into his patterns of burying himself with work when he was stressed.
Ice started to walk past Mav when Mav grabbed his arm.

Ice looked at him.

"Tom, don't fall into those patterns you fell into about a month and a half ago. When Slider died, you buried yourself in work and it was not good... don't do that again. I'm here to talk." Ice looked at him and then looked down.

"I'm...I'm afraid to talk to you about this. Cause I think it's leading to something very... very bad. I don't need to be wrapped up into it." Ice pulled his arm away and stepped out of their room and headed down to his office.

Maverick cursed under his breath about how stubborn that man was. He held his head and took deep breaths.

"Fine... don't tell me what's wrong. Keep developing your shitty habits." He said to himself as he tidied up.

He was tired of this lack of communication.

Madam President sat in her office as her phone rang. She answered. "Hello?

She smirked and nodded. "Thank you. Try and settle this tonight. I have a list now." She said as she looked at Ices agent list.

"Yes... start with the director... and then go down. Thank you.... Yes your pay will be delivered to the specific location, I promise." She hung up and looked out the window.

"Even if he survives, we will make his life a living hell..." she turned and stepped out of the room.
