Charz and I came across some of the stranded Pokemon that filled the route on route 1. "Damn Pidgey" I spat seeing another one head my way. I then see an escape route. "I don't care if i'm breaking the rules" I said as I picked up Charz and jumped over the ledge and landing on the higher side. "Sorry couldn't help it I always wanted to try that" I told Charz as I set him down. He shrugged and we kept on our way. Searching my bag that the lady claiming to my mother gave I found there was no more Potions. "Great, he's low on health but I'm almost there" I sighed. We continued to jump the ledges on the route til we got to the nearest town or city. We reached Virdian city and I picked up Charz and ran to the nearest Pokecenter.
After I went to the Pokemart to go and get potions. "Hey kid, you from Pallet Town?" a guy asks. "Why what's it to ya?" I ask not wanting any harm. "If you are I have a package for Oak could you deliver it??" he asks as he pulled out a Brown box. I take it and pay for some potions and started to head back towards where I started from.
"Why Red? Aren't I good looking enough? It's like I'm invisible" Green asked leaned up against the lab. "Don't know usually I'm the one who's hitting on every girl I lay my eyes on. Even though I stopped cause I like someone, but I know my feelings will never get returned so I'm prob gonna start again" Red answered. Green chuckled not knowing I was in earshot. "Oh hey your back" Red said catching sight of me. I nodded and walked inside having the two boys follow me inside. "Why didn't any of you go and get the package that was waiting in Virdian?" I asked sightly annoyed that they were too lazy to go and get it. "Hi Dragoon your back with the package! Let's see what's inside. Oh! the newest pokeballs" Oak said looking over them. He then gave each of us 5 pokeballs. "Come on travel with me" Green was pressing his luck while Red rolled his eyes. "I already said no and I meant it" I replied. "Fine then I will just tell my sister not to give you a map so you can be lost until you agree to travel with me" He yelled storming out of the lab. Totally ignoring him I went out and saw the woman claiming to be my mother. She waved at me so I went over. "Daisy gave me this for you. I know it will help you" She said handing me a map. "Thanks" I said as Charz gave her a nod.
I got back to Vidian city and a old man was laying on the street. "Um excuse me sir I need to get to the next town over so could you please get up?" I ask softly. The old man grunts in response. I sigh and pick Charz up and step over him when I felt something grip my leg. "Do you know how to catch Pokemon?" The man on the street asks. "Um yeah all you have to do is lower it's health and catch it with one of these, right?" I ask holding out a pokeball. "Very well then, please continue" he answers.
We get into the tall grass on route 2 and I thought I saw something shine. I figured it was a figment of my imagination and was about to continue until I heard some cries. I couldn't help but look into what was happening. What I saw shocked me. A group of wild Pidgey were gaining up on a helpless Caterpie. The pigeon Pokemon were dangerously close to the caterpillar Pokemon. What caught my eye first was the coloring of the Caterpie. It was different. Instead of green like it's normally it was gold. "Hey get out of here. Charz use Ember!" I commanded. "Char!" little flames came out of Charz's mouth and hit the Pidgey. I went over to the Caterpie and knelled down beside it. "Are you O.k? Here come with me I want to make sure you are not hurt" I said as I picked up the Caterpie.
"Is it O.k Nurse Joy?" I ask worried about the little bug Pokemon. "You saved it's life there were bruises everywhere on it's body. It's a good thing you brought it in" she said as I sat down on one of the couches. Charz climbed on my legs and sat there looking at me. "There is something fishy with those bruises Charz. The scratches they were from the Pidgey from earlier but they couldn't leave bruises. I think it had a trainer and they abused it and then just tossed it aside because it didn't do what the trainer wanted it to do" I told Charz as he cocked his head to the side in confusion. "But don't worry bud I would never do that to you. You mean more than the world to me like my brother and my friends" I hugged Charz. "Charmander" He nuzzled into the embrace.
