Quick warning for the first chapter. There is a reference to a suicide attempt, so if you're uncomfortable with that feel free to skip. The other parts aren't/won't be as dark (Unless people want to see that)

The sun was setting, the snowy temperature reaching its coldest point. Langa looked over the edge. Due to the darkness he wasn't able to see the bottom. Maybe if he had he would have stopped himself. If he'd been more aware of what he was doing, he wouldn't have been in that state in the first place but he couldn't feel anything. Even the cold was nothing to him. Langa closed his eyes, he couldn't look, he tried to search for anything any sort of feeling that would stop him from doing this. Finding none, he took the last step forward. Bracing himself for the impact. "I'll see you soon, dad."

Then he was falling.

He hit the ground but he was so numb he couldn't feel the pain, his eyes began to flutter shut but he heard someone call out his name. A voice he knew well. His boyfriend, Reki, appeared in his slowly dying vison. Langa found himself reaching for Reki's hand. He could see the tears in Reki's eyes. "I don't- Reki I don't want to die."

Langa jolted awake. Drenched in sweat and tears forming in his eyes. He tried to remain quiet but was unable to hold in his sounds as he gasped for air. But, he wasn't in Canada. Not anymore. He was in Reki's room.

Speaking of Reki- the redheaded boy was looking at his boyfriend, his face almost as pale as Langa's as he looked at him with wide eyes. "You don't want to die?" He echoed, panic clear in his voice. Reki was clueless on how to help. He'd never seen Langa cry, he hadn't  know Langa could cry. He pulled Langa into a hug, letting Langa cry into his shoulder. "Its a bad dream- from.. Canada." Langa got out, his voice sounded so broken, so shaky, so unlike Langa.  "I heard my name." Reki pointed out. And he'd never been to Canada, so why would he be in Langa's dream?

Langa let out a final sob before looking up at Reki. "This time it was different, you're never normally there. I- you had to watch me die." Reki had no idea what to say to that. How was he meant to comfort Langa. Langa shifted slightly in Reki's hold, his breathing becoming closer to normal. "I don't feel this way anymore.." He began to explain, Reki nodding, waiting for Langa to finish. "I, when I was in Canada, I tried to.. After my dad died." Reki noticed Langa was struggling to get the words out. Though this was a difficult thing to talk about- so it might just be that.  Reki ran a hand though Langa's hair. "I didn't want you to see me like this.." Langa admitted. "I wanted to wait until the nightmares stopped."

Reki frowned. "Langa, you don't have to pretend you're okay." Langa gave him a doubtful look. "I didn't think you'd like seeing me cry." Reki almost laughed at that. Almost. "Langa. Have you seen me." Langa didn't have a response to that, so Reki just kissed his cheek. "Langa. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help." Langa studded him with his icy blue eyes. "You've been more help than you could ever know."
