Langa watched another girl walk away from him. Though he didn't feel anything for her- he felt a little bad for being unable to return her feelings. He had to reject a lot of people though, he had no idea why. Langa didn't really think he was anything special. Besides, even if he was his heart would still belong to Reki, even if they where just best friends and Reki would never return his feelings. What Langa didn't know is that Reki would glare at any girl who even came close to Langa. He just assumed the reason why girls seemed so nervous around him was just because they thought he was attractive. Langa always payed attention to Reki- except when it mattered the most.

Slowly- eventually. The confessions stopped.

Langa was grateful. It meant that he and Reki could enjoy more time together. Reki seemed more cheerful too, it made Langa pretty happy. Not that he knew why Reki was so happy, when he asked Reki just shrugged, so Langa left it at that. It was nice to spend lunch without girls whispering around them. Though, after a few days, Langa started to notice that some people had started to give them strange looks.

In between class, Langa was stopped by one of his classmates. Langa had never really spoken to him. He didn't really know anyone in the class- he only knew Reki. So naturally he didn't even know the other guys name. "Are you and Kyan dating?" He asked, catching Langa off guard. "What?" Was he that obvious? Langa didn't think he and Reki did anything 'romantic' so why would he ask. "Most of the girls have been talking about it." He said with his arms crossed. "Every time they try to confess he's there glaring."

Langa tried his best to think back to those times. He could never picture Reki's expression. Why would Reki glare at them? Would Reki glare? Langa sighed, annoyed that his mind was going blank. "No, we're not. I never noticed." The boy seemed to grin at that, making Langa mildly nervous. "Maybe then you should get away from him. He seems possessive."

Langa opened his mouth to respond- but was cut off when Reki pushed past them.

He had heard everything.

"Reki-!" Langa called out, trying to go after him. When the other boy stopped him. "Why would you want to go after him after what I just told you." Langa pulled away unhappy with someone touching him. Langa heard Reki going up to the roof.  But- there was something he needed to do first.

"I don't know what you're trying to prove. But I'm not leaving him."
"But you aren't dating- so why do you care?"
Langa laughed, scaring the boy a little. "I don't have to be dating him to care. He's my world. And you've upset him. If he doesn't return my feelings then I'll still be there as his friend."
Langa glared daggers into his classmates eyes before turning away. He had to talk to Reki.

...

"Reki..?" The redhead turned to face him. Wiping away tears in the hopes that Langa wouldn't notice. "Sorry.. I'm being dramatic." Reki said forcing a smile. "Its okay." Langa promised, moving a little bit closer. "Why are you here?" Reki asked him. "Aren't I 'too possessive'?" Langa frowned. "No?" Reki looked away from him, sniffling. "He was right. I do that- when girls come close to you."

Langa wished that he was able to picture Reki's face in those situations.

"But why..?" He asked. Causing Reki to look at him again, his expression a mix of 'are you kidding' and 'how are you so oblivious'. "I'm jealous Langa." He said his voice weak. "Jealous of what?" Reki sighed, he would have to spell it out for Langa clearly. Langa stood there, clueless. "That one day you will return someone's feelings, and that someone won't be me."

Langa looked like someone had hit him with a skateboard. "You-" Reki nodded. "I like you Langa. And I was selfish, I wanted you to be mine.. But so did those girls." He wasn't really sure what he was saying. It felt embarrassing telling Langa all this to his face. Reki wasn't expecting it- but Langa cut him off with a kiss.

"I like you Reki." Langa promised- though 'like' didn't even begin to describe his feelings. "I'll be yours." He promised. Reki's eyes widened. "You're serious?" He asks, and Langa nods. "I wouldn't want to be with anyone else." Reki wiped away a tear, though this time he was happy. "Even if I get jealous of every girl who's near you."

Langa responded by intertwining their hands. "I'll love you no matter what you do Reki."
