Langa was late to meet up with Reki, an panicked look on his face as he grabbed his skateboard and sped in the direction of the skatepark. What if Reki had gotten bored of waiting- or what if he thought Langa wasn't going to turn up and just went home. Granted Langa was Reki's best friend, so he wasn't likely to just abandon Langa like that, at least without a text. But it was still all Langa could worry about. He finally showed up to the skatepark, getting off his board planning to walk over to Reki. But what he saw made him stop suddenly.

Reki had his back facing Langa, thankfully. But he wasn't alone. A girl Langa had never seen before was by his side, she had long blue hair- only slightly darker than Langa's and she was almost as pale. Langa wondered where she had come from, how had Reki found her- and why were they hanging out when Langa was meant to be spending time with Reki. Langa was about to take a step forward when the girl pulled Reki closer, going for a kiss. Langa held in a breath feeling numb he turned away, getting on his board and skating home.

He slammed the door a little too hard when he came home, setting his board down and falling against the door, not even looking up as his mother entered the hall. "Langa- you're back early." Langa could hear she was concerned, of course she'd be. He looked up at her trying to be calm- he wasn't crying. But when he spoke his voice was broken. "I wish I didn't like him. I wish I wasn't gay." Langa saw his mothers expression change from concern to surprise. "There's nothing wrong with you Langa. I can promise you that." He stood up slowly, going into his mom's arm for a hug. "One day you'll find someone." Langa nodded, he couldn't bring himself to speak.

The hug only ended when there was a knock at the door.

Langa felt his heart stop working when he opened it to see Reki.

"Langa! You're here." Reki grinned awkwardly though he was also pretty worried. "Did you forget about meeting up? You didn't come." Langa heard his mother leave- of course she wanted to give them privacy. Though- how could Langa explain that the reason he didn't meet Reki was because he was heartbroken.. Maybe if Langa was only a girl Reki would fall for him. Surely that would be all it takes. "I turned up, but you seemed busy." Langa said bluntly trying not to sound bothered by it. "You saw me and the girl?" Reki asked, now looking slightly nervous. Langa assumed he was just embarrassed that Langa found out about his secret romance. "I didn't even know her name- she just came up to me." Reki admitted, causing Langa to stare at him confused. "She kissed you."

"She tried to."

"You didn't let her?" Langa asked, to which Reki shook his head. "I wasn't going to waste my first kiss on someone who doesn't even know me." Langa looked at Reki in disbelieve- surely Reki had a lot of options for his first kiss. "Who do you want it to be with?" He asked- assuming the redhead would just spit out a girls name, probably from their class, and that would be the end of it. Instead, Reki when bright red. "You can't just ask that-"

What Langa didn't know, was the answer to Reki's question was him. Reki wanted his first kiss to be with Langa. He wanted his first everything to be with Langa- he wanted to be Langa's only everything. Not that he would ever admit that.

"Is she in our class?" Langa asked causing Reki to look even more panicked. "Langa I don't want to kiss a girl. But yes, he's in our class." Langa's eyes widened in shock, Reki already knew Langa was gay- the snowboarder had never considered it something to be secretive about, he had told Reki almost as soon as he figured it out. Langa meanwhile, was trying to brainstorm and think of any attractive guy he could. "Langa." Reki said suddenly, causing Langa to look up, their gazes meeting. "I want to kiss you."

All Langa could do in return was nod.

Grabbing Langa by his shirt, Reki pulled his best friend in for their first ever kiss, neither of them really knew what they were doing, but it felt so right. Reki was convinced he had died and gone to heaven. Langa liking him back had only ever happened in a dream but this was real.

"Reki.." Langa was quiet, his voice barely a whisper. Causing Reki to just melt. "Langa?" Langa smiled slightly something rare to most people, but Reki knew his smile well. "You're perfect." Langa told him, causing Reki's face to heat up. Normally he would protest- but seeing how happy Langa looked just caused him to nod. "I love you." He whispered into Reki's ear, in response he grinned and pulled Langa in for cuddles. "Yeah- I love you too."
