This is for all of you who like trans Reki HC :)
Langa was the most wonderful boyfriend. Reki loved him so much. He was so kind, and caring he listened- sometimes. And even when he didn't realise what Reki was going though, mostly due to his own obviousness, he was still there in his own way. He would make Reki's life so much better simply by being there for him. Telling him how amazing Reki was, or the rare times he would finally initiate a kiss. Reki was sure he had won.
But- there was something he kept hidden from Langa. Something he was scared off.
Reki could pass for a guy, most of the time. His voice could sound deep enough to make it seem like he was a teenage boy who just hadn't fully developed yet. He would make sure his chest was hidden whenever he was at S, or whenever Langa was around, using both oversized clothing and binding. Although his mother would check to make sure he was being safe. There were other things that were a little out of place. But Langa never looked too hard enough to notice.
At least until the day that Reki let his guard down.
...
One day, Langa was invited to Reki's house. He had only really been let into Reki's bedroom through the window. So the other area's of the house were slightly new to him. Which is why he finally ended up asking a question Reki had been scared of ever since they had started dating.
On the shelf, was a photo. It was from a few years ago before Reki had told his parents- before they had helped him. His hair had been a lot longer- and a lot neater. It had been taken in the summer so he had been wearing a short white dress with flowers on it. His knees were covered in band aids from skating and his mud-covered trainers distracted from his 'beauty'. To make matters worse, it was a photo with everyone, so to Langa it would look like Reki was missing.
Reki had hated the photo. Of course he had. But- in some way looking at it now made him feel proud when he thought of how far he had come since that day. He wondered- how his younger self would feel, knowing how comfortable he could be with himself now. It brought a smile to his face.
Langa noticed him starting, and turned to the photo as well. "Who's the girl?" He asked. "Why weren't you there?" Reki's smile fell quickly. He hadn't want to keep this from Langa for as long as he had, but he wasn't sure how Langa would react... Did he want a 'real' man? Would he break up with Reki because he wasn't masculine enough. Langa was gay, he would like women. Langa noticed that Reki was hesitant. But he couldn't figure out why.
"Langa- this.. Is probably going to be a shock.. And you might see me different because of it." Reki took a deep breath, Langa was just staring at him now- normally seeing Langa would make him feel safe. But now he was just on guard. "That girl- in the photo is me. I was born as a girl- but I'm not." He couldn't face Langa anymore. Not after that.
"Oh. Okay." Langa said, causing Reki to snap his head up to look at him. "Okay?" Langa nodded. "You're Reki. And I love him regardless." Reki felt himself tearing up as Langa pulled him into a hug, he let out a sob by accident and Langa ran his hand through Reki's short messy hair to calm him down. "I wasn't sure if you would still love me-" Reki said, his voice weak. "Reki, I'd love you no matter what."
Langa couldn't find the right words to tell Reki- yet. But Reki was the best boyfriend that Langa could have asked for. He loved Reki so much and nothing would ever be able to change that. He wished that Reki would be able to realise that eventually. As Langa littered Reki's face with a bunch of soft kisses, until he stopped tearing up and just started to laugh. Langa knew, he was the one who won.
