"Langa... No- I'm sorry- please." Reki begged, he reached out trying to take a hold of Langa's arm. His vison was blurred by streams of tears. Yet even with that he could make out the vison of his boyfriend walking away. He wished he could have seen Langa's expression. Was he sad? Did he not care? Was he... Happy? Reki called out Langa's name weakly. He couldn't get the words out. There was nothing that he could do to make Langa stay. And it was all his fault.. He knew it.

Reki jolted awake. His bed was empty, just as always. His house was also just as empty. Much like how Reki felt most of the time. He couldn't forget the day that they had the fight. The day Langa had left him. Langa had promised that they would be together forever, then he had ditched Reki the second they fought. He left for Canada as soon as Reki had said..

He didn't want to think about that.

It hurt too much.

Reki wasn't sure why, but he had spent most of his time checking the news in Canada. Maybe one day Langa would do something big, one day Reki could have something that reminds him that Langa is real. And that Langa was happy without him. Because of this, he had picked up a lot of English, being able to read it almost perfectly, and speaking it- somewhat decently.

As always he was searching for something, anything that could link him to Langa.

'Son of a deceased snowboarding instructor hospitalised after an attempt to end his life'

Reki went pale reading that. Surely it wasn't Langa... He never mentioned that his dad used to be a snowboarding instructor. But just in case- he might as well read it.

A few years after the death of Oliver Hasegawa, a beloved snowboarding instructor, his son Langa Hasegawa has been hospitalised and is in critical condition.

There was a note found with him that his mother currently has in her possession. Thanks to this information we can assume that Hasegawa was attempting to take his own life.

Reki felt a range of emotions. He was angry, upset but most of all he was concerned. He closed the page, not bothering to finish the article as he made up his mind.

He was going to find out what the fuck Langa was thinking.

Nothing would stop him from going to Canada and seeing Langa.

...

A few days late Reki found himself by Langa's side once again. This was never the way he imagined them coming back together. It's not the way he would have wanted to see Langa again.. Unsure if he would even wake up. Reki was so lost in thought he didn't even hear the door open and a woman's voice. "Oh."

Reki didn't have to look at her to know that she was most likely Langa's mother. "I can leave." Reki offered, though he really didn't want to leave Langa's side. "No its okay." She assured him. "You're a friend of his?" Reki nodded. "My names Reki, I was his friend when he lived in Japan." Reki was confused as she rummaged through her bag. "You're Reki? Then.. This would be for you." She handed him a peace of paper. Reki had a feeling he knew what it was before he even read it.

The writing was messy- which Reki could have expected from him. But he could read it well enough.

Reki.

It doesn't stop replaying in my mind. It never stops. I regret it so much. I regret leaving you. Make it go away. I can't handle it. I need it to stop. I need you. You're all I can think about. The fight. It never ends. Reki..

I can't.

Reki found himself tearing up. Even though it was a letter he could hear how panicked Langa was. He could tell how much pain the other was in. "Is it bad..?" She asked, her tone soft. "I didn't read it- since it had your name on it." Reki knew he should protect her, sure she was a lot older than him but Langa was her son. "It's.. Not bad. He's just apologising for a fight we had a while ago."

...

Langa woke up slowly- everything hurt.. Much more than he expected. He couldn't think probably but all he knew was he was still alive. Of course he hadn't died. He tried not to feel too disappointed.

"Langa.. You're awake." The voice- Reki.. Langa jolted up. Flinching in pain, but he could ignore that. Everything felt so confusing that Langa didn't even register that Reki was speaking English. How did he..? When? "Reki- how. You're here." Reki nodded. "Yeah. I'm here."
"You know English?" Langa asked. Reki frowned at him. "That's the least of your worries Langa! You could have died."

Langa was quiet. "Your mom gave me the note. So I know why." Reki sounded so upset. Langa hadn't expected him to be so bothered by all this. He hadn't expected Reki to know at all. "Oh... The note." Reki held it out, letting Langa take it. "I haven't forgotten about it." Reki said. "I think about it every night." Langa studied Reki. "Does that mean.."

"I still love you Langa." Reki said softly. "I love you too." Reki reached out, trying to find Langa's hand. Langa happily took it, giving his hand a weak squeeze. "What does that mean for us?" Langa asked, it was still hard to think- his head still hurt a lot. Was Reki really here or was he imaging everything?

"Well.. We could start dating again and see where it goes from there?" Reki suggested, his tone hopeful.
"Yeah. I'd like that."
Reki responded by gently kissing Langa's hand.
