Everything's better in person

Reki did not have a celebrity crush. That wasn't what it was. He wasn't in love why would he be. He'd never met the guy. When his younger sister showed him Langa, better known as Snow, and his music, Reki was mesmerised. Some songs, the ones in English, he couldn't really understand. But he did some in Japanese too. It didn't take Reki too long to realise that Langa was popular in both countries. Reki felt like he might die as soon as Langa announced that he was coming to Japan for a month. Doing a tour.
His last stop. Okinawa.
Reki lived in Okinawa.

Reki spent all night sitting, waiting, staring at the screen. He told himself people do this all the time for singers they like. It wasn't just because Langa was pretty. It wasn't just because his voice filled Reki with warmth he had never had before in his life. Reki was ready to sell his soul for these tickets. He would have invited his sister, but A. It was his own money, not hers and B. She was too young to go anyway.

He tried to stay quiet as he successfully bought a ticket. Grinning widely at the confirmation email. He wasn't going to miss the concert. At the end of the month, he would be able to see Langa live. He would be able to get close. Reki was already desperate to hear his voice in person.

The month went by so slowly. Reki wished it would hurry up. He had already told everyone who would listen about going to the concert. Multiple times. He spent most of the afternoons skating, trying to desperately pass the time.

Then, the day before. He had to go shopping. Reki wished his mother could have just gone herself. But he wanted to be good anyway. He couldn't risk being grounded the day before. Unhelpfully. Reki was struggling to reach a packet of ramen that he had been requested to find. "Need help?" Someone asked, and Reki nodded.

The strangers face was covered by a large hat and sunglasses, Reki tried his hardest not to laugh at them. He looked like a vampire. The stranger was hardly taller than him. But his arms where a little longer. "Thanks... Um.." Reki hesitated. Silently asking for a name. The stranger hesitated. "Langa." Reki's breath hitched. His expression nothing but pure shock. Langa took of the sunglasses and Reki looked into the eyes he knew so well, even though he had never seen them. "You're... Hot in person."

Reki felt himself die inside as he said that. Sure, they were around the same age. But Langa had no idea who he was. Langa was famous. He'd never look at Reki the way that Reki wants to look at him. He felt his own face heat up in embarrassment. Langa should be grossed out by him. Instead he laughed. "You're cute."

That was it. Reki's brain fried. "Are you... Do you always tell people that?" Reki found himself somehow asking. God his face was so red. "No. Just you." Langa shrugged, as if it wasn't a big deal. "What's your name?" Langa asked. "Reki." Langa smiled and Reki thought he was about to just melt. "Reki, I like that." Langa muttered the redheads name to himself, trying it out. "Where are you staying?" Reki found himself asking. "A hotel nearby... Its lonely though without my mom here."
"Oh."

Langa looked like he wanted to say something. But he wasn't sure if he should. "I could come by once I take this home." Reki offered, holding up his shopping. "If you're lonely I could maybe keep you company." Langa's eyes lit up, like a kid getting a gift. It was so real- so human. Reki adored it. Langa was so much more than just a singer. "Sure, if you're free." Langa pulled out paper, scribbling a number. "Text me." He said passing it to Reki. "I will."

Reki held the paper close to his heart, Langa finally took the hat off. Letting Reki see how beautiful he really was.. Reki hoped Langa thought he was just as stunning. Then, he kissed Reki on the cheek before leaving to pay for his own items.

Reki had never felt more in love.
