Langa didn't really understand what happened between him and Reki. Ever since their last fight they had been avoiding each other at every chance possible. While Langa took a break from S to figure things out, Reki quickly climbed the ranks becoming popular and talented. And finally it was time for Snow to return.
People looked at him, because it was the first time in months he should up. And a certain skater would make sure that Langa knew.
"You finally decided to show up?" Red asked, he was frowning. Snow rolled his eyes, and the people around watched with great interest. They knew that Snow and Red used to be friends. "Someone had to come and beat you." Snow said, as if that was the reason he had come to S that night. Red let out a laugh, one Snow used to love but now it just seemed annoying. When did he get so cocky? "I wouldn't be so sure Snow, aren't you a little out of practice?" Snow responded with a scoff. "Why don't we beef then?"
The race was intense, people betting on them left, right and centre. Snow had a goal, he knew he had to win. Maybe then Red would see reason and finally quit being so difficult. What Snow didn't know is Red was expecting him to win. Red had a feeling he still wouldn't be able to beat Snow. He was still the best, even with months without practice. Snow was still savage. Red still felt like it was worth it. Skating against someone so good was a nice challenge.
After the beef snow was sitting off to the side, he was tired and needed rest after not skating for so long. Yet Red was still able to find him. It really wasn't that hard. "Oi Snow." Snow looked up at him confused. This was the first time they'd talked privately since- the fight. "That was a good one." Red said and to his surprise Snow nodded. "You're still really fun to skate against Reki."
That, hearing his name coming from Snow's mouth. After everything. "You- still call me Reki?" Snow looked offended that Reki would think otherwise. Then without saying anything Reki pulled Snow into a tight hug.. And when Langa hugged him back, Reki felt complete. Yet Langa was a little stiff. "You haven't hugged anyone in a while have you?"
"No-""Then we should hug more often." Reki said firmly, like he had already made up his mind. "Why?" Langa found himself asking. "Well, you need to get used to it again." He was grinning, Langa loved that grin. "I missed you." Langa found himself saying before he could think. "I missed you too." Reki said, then very casually. "I love you man." That caught Langa off guard.
"You what?" Langa felt himself go red. "You love me?" Reki nodded. "As in..." He watched the redhead sigh. "I want to date you." Langa hid his face behind his hair. "I- love you too."
"Damn Snow." A voice said, Langa and Reki turned to face the guy, they didn't know him. He was just a random spectator."What are you doing?" Langa asked as the man lowered his phone, typing something. "Posting it to the internet." Reki went bright red. "Do you- have to?" The man nodded. "You kinda confessed your love at S of all places. Now, everyone has to know." Langa sighed. "Great."
It didn't take long for everyone to know. Not just at S, at their school too. Cherry thought they were idiots, Miya knew they were idiots. But Joe found it pretty funny. But, as Red got to hold Snow's hand in public without worrying about people finding out he decided it wasn't too bad.
He was the real winner in the end.
