"YOU!!!!"
Both Jin and Taehyung were shocked to see each other. This was the last thing they wanted after their fight.
"Taehyung, you are requested to take your seat. You were already late for class, and I won't permit you to disturb the class while I'm teaching," the professor said, noticing Taehyung still standing in the same place.
"Sorry, sir," Taehyung apologized. The teacher nodded and continued teaching the lesson.
Jin removed his bag from the chair beside him. This was the last thing he wanted to happen. As soon as Taehyung sat down, he stretched his leg, as if it was his own property. Jin's patience was wearing thin, so he whisper-yelled at Taehyung, "Move your leg, this place isn't yours alone!"
Taehyung chose to ignore him, so Jin did what he was good at – he stamped Taehyung's shoe really hard. Taehyung groaned in pain, his first instinct being to glance at their professor, who was thankfully too busy teaching the lesson. Then, he glared at Jin, who smirked at him and tried to focus on the lesson.
The class proceeded smoothly, with Jin and Taehyung not bothering each other after that. They both minded their own business.
The professor concluded the lesson, saying, "So, class, with this, we come to the end of the first chapter. Now, as you all know, I tend to give you projects as soon as I complete half of the chapters from your first semester. But this time, I'll be giving you the project a bit earlier, as it's going to be a bit hectic. You'll be paired with a partner, and I've prepared chits. The class president and I will pick chits from both bowls, one by one, and the names we pick will be paired. So, let's start!"
The class responded with groans, but they had no choice except to accept it. The teacher began announcing the names of the pairs.
Taehyung prayed that he and Jimin would be paired, so they could spend more time together, and he could express his feelings. On the other hand, Jin prayed that Jimin and Jungkook would be paired, so they could talk and resolve their issues.
The professor announced the next pair: "So, we have Yoongi and Hoseok..." Yoongi and Hoseok glanced at each other; Yoongi winked, and Hoseok looked away. Jungkook and Jin noticed this and smiled at each other, happy that Hoseok might lead a happy life, unlike them.
The professor announced the next pair: "Next, we have Jimin and Jungkook." This was a shock not only to Jungkook and Jimin but also to Taehyung. His heart broke; why was the world against him and his love?
On the other hand, Yoongi, Hoseok, and especially Jin were delighted. Jin was overjoyed, knowing his Kookie would be happy again with Jimin's presence.
In the midst of this happiness and sadness, neither Taehyung nor Jin noticed that their names hadn't been called yet.
The professor continued, "So, we have only four chits left. Let's see who the second-last pair is. It's Yeonjun and Soobin. And our last pair is Taehyung and Jin."
As soon as Taehyung and Jin heard their names being paired, they froze. Taehyung wanted to protest, but he knew it would be futile, as their professor wouldn't listen.
The professor instructed, "So, get into your seats according to your pairs, and then I'll discuss the project you'll be working on together."
