My alarm was ringing in my head again. So Tuesday morning was happening, even so i was almost as eager as yesterday. As I got ready I was thinking if I'd meet someone new, but I didn't know and that was one of the best things, that it was a total mystery.
Once I had eaten and got ready I made my way towards school. As I walked down my road I noticed a tall blonde girl walking out of her house. I looked again and realised it was Katie. She saw me and gave me a small wave. I waved back and walked towards her.
"Hi Katie," I said.
"Hello," she replied. "Lets walk, but first i need to fix my bag," said Katie.
"Ok that's cool," I said.
Just as Katie was fixing her bag I noticed a boy walking towards me and Katie. He was tall, had mousy brown hair and was wearing the school's yellow lanyard. He was in our school and year.
"Hello," he said awkwardly to me and Katie.
"Hi," I responded brightly.
"I saw you both walking to school yesterday and I thought there's no point in just walking behind you guys," he said. I guessed this was an indication that he wanted to walk to school with us.
"Yeah walk with us, I'm Anita by the way and this is Katie," I said.
"Hi, I'm Aaron," said the boy.
We began to walk with Aaron and when I thought about it, he was my first actual guy friend, my other guy friends were gay. It's not like I was thinking about doing anything with Aaron (because all of my friends thought I just wanted to get with every guy I saw, which isn't true).
"So what subjects do you do Aaron?" I said as an attempt to start conversation.
"I do Chemistry, Maths, Biology, and English Language," he responded.
"Me and Katie both do English Language," I said.
"Really?" he said.
"Yeah but I don't think we're all in the same classes," I said.
As we walked up the road we noticed a group of guys standing on the corner of the road. One was very tall with dark hair and wore a green coat. Another was shorter and had blonde hair and a red backpack. And even more guys came out from around the corner. They were all quite tall and I felt intimidated by all these tall people, as I was and still am only 5ft 2, yeah I bet you're laughing right now, so shut your fucking mouth and read this! Trust me it's much more interesting than my height.
"Well those are my mates, I'll see you guys later," said Aaron.
"Bye," said me and Katie as we continued to walk.
"Did you see how tall that guy in the green coat was?" I whispered to Katie.
"Yeah! He's definitely taller than me," said Katie who herself was about 6ft, or it felt like she was compared to me anyway.
"They look like fucking gangsters from far away," I said. Katie stared at me.
"Uh no they don't," laughed Katie.
"Yes they do!" I insisted. "It's probably because I'm like practically a midget compared to everyone else," I said with a small laugh. Katie laughed at my comment. We continued to walk to school and we eventually separated when me and Katie had to go to our form rooms. Form was boring, as expected, however i was incredibly excited to go to my first lesson which was English Literature which i hadn't had yet. even though form was boring, we had to pick an enrichment which was, as expected, boring as hell. even so, i picked peer mentoring which I thought should be easy, but we'll get back to that a bit later.
The bell finally rang. I was itching to go to my first period. I walked into my classroom. there were only a few people.
"I wonder if there will be any fit guys in this class," I thought. to this day I cannot believe that was the first thing that crossed my mind. I sat down in one of the many empty seats in the classroom. Just then the teacher Mrs Samuel walked in. she greeted us and began to explain the syllabus for the AS course. It sounded so interesting and i was genuinely excited for the course, but also disappointed at the lack of fit and attractive guys I had seen within the school.
So that day had gone pretty quickly, and even though I had two amazing English Literature lessons. It was just such a blur. However I slept well that night.
