When I was waiting for Katie on the following Monday I met up with Aaron and we walked to Katie's house.
"Guess what," I said to him.
"What?" he asked. judging by his facial expression he knew it was something about Nicholas who i always seemed to be talking about.
"Nicolas rejected me on Friday night over Facebook Messenger," I said. Aaron's jaw dropped.
"Oh my God are you okay?" he asked Aaron.
"Yeah, I'm fine and I kind of knew that he would say no anyways so I'm not that fussed," I said calmly to Aaron.
"Oh okay, that's good then," he said.
Katie then met up with me and Aaron and we explained to her what happened. She had a similar reaction to Aaron.
"OMG, you really liked him though Anita, are you sure you're okay," said Katie.
"Honestly guys, I'm fine," I insisted.
"Okay, if you're sure," said Aaron as he went to meet up with the Gangster Friends.
When i got to school i met up with Sara and told her about what happened.
"OMG are you okay?" she asked.
"Yes I'm fine! Why do people keep asking me that?"
"Maybe because you were practically obsessed with this guy and he's not even fit, at least go for a fit guy," said Sara. I laughed at her comment. "You deserve better, Anita, so just find somebody else to obsess over,"
"yeah," I laughed.
Later that day me and my friends stayed behind in the photography classroom over break. we were talking about the rejection with Lucy, Katie and our Photography friends Elle, Madison and our Art friend Maisie.
"Don't worry Anita, he's really not all that," said Madison.
"Thanks guys for making me feel better,"
"You just have to think who else in our year is fit and nice, as Nicholas was neither," said Maisie. We all laughed at Maisie's comment.
"Well Irwin Boston is quite good looking," I said. Irwin was a guy in our photography class, he was tall, and was fairly good looking but I had never spoken the the guy in my life.
"You like Irwin now?" gasped Elle really loudly.
"No! I'm just saying he's good looking, it doesn't mean I like him," I protested.
"Awww you like Irwin, Anita?" said Miss Heaton who was in the room marking year seven artwork.
"No I don't like him!" I repeated.
"No, but you have a soft spot for him," she insisted.
"Whatever I'm not going to get into this," I said.
"She does like him!" shouted Katie.
After establishing that apparently i liked Irwin, we went to the steps for a bit. we saw one of our friends Nathan. he asked me about my relationship with Nicholas. He'd clearly heard about my rejection.
"She's moved on to Irwin Boston," blabbed Katie.
"Wow you moved on quickly!" Nathan practically yelled as Nicholas walked past.
"Shut up guys! I don't even like him as I have never even said a word to him," I said. the others jut stayed in silence. "Anyway who's got a free next?"
"Me," said Katie.
"Okay, we'll go to the library, anyone else got a free?" I said. everyone else shook their heads.
"Let's go then," said Katie.
Me and Katie made our way to the library. on our way we discussed what work we both needed to do and asked for help from one another. once we got to the library we saw that Nicholas was sitting in there with his hundreds of friends.
"Look Anita, it's "the one" haha," laughed Katie. I rolled my eyes. we both went to a table far away from where he was sitting.
"You realize what happened between me and him is over now," I said.
"Yeah but it's still funny," laughed Katie. I couldn't really disagree with Katie as that message was pretty out there and a bit aggressive. It was and still is cringy to think about.
Later that day I walked home with Katie and we actually met Aaron on the way. He again asked how i was coping with my rejection. As i had said to him this morning, i was fine and like usual, Katie blurted out that I liked Irwin again.
"You like him?" said Aaron.
"Well I mean he's okay but I don't think I like him. I've never even spoken to him," I said.
"Wow Anita you move on quickly," said Aaron.
"I don't even like him i just said he was attractive," I said.
