fighting off vampires isn't always easy for some groups, either it be their own kind or a group of wolves. just after the mess with Bella's daughter Renesmee was born and they were accused of breaking the top rule of vampires, if you make an immortal child you pay the price and get sentenced to eternal death. which isn't what happened with the Cullen's so they won their battle and got to walk free. but that all changed within a whole year as she grew to a full grown half she went off on her own with Jacob Black.
just as they all thought things were going to go back to normal with the addition to Bella.. they were all hunting in the woods a good distance to each other to give themselves their own time and something.. you know what.. see for yourself.
"Ok is everyone ready to go?" they all nod and head off in their own direction, Esme going her own way, drinking the blood of a decent sized deer something came up behind her and attacked within distance of her mate. Carlisle or so they all thought, she let out screams of agony as the creature ripped her arms to pieces and just as things couldn't of gotten any better Carlisle and the rest came to see what was happening and found her without a head attached to her body..
"Esme.. no no no no this can't happen!" Carlisle screams as he tries to run towards her but Jasper tackles him to the ground. "Carlisle its ok! calm down while we figure something out" Jasper uses his gift to slightly calm him down from the situation as dry sobs escape his cold throat giving the others shivers they shouldn't be able to have. "My poor Esme.." he whimpers as Jasper and the others bring him into a long hug.
on the way home someone had to bring Esme with them along with her head so they could figure out what to do while Carlisle walks Infront in complete silence worrying the others which he can understand. Back at the house which felt like years to them all due to the silence Carlisle tries to run back to his office but is stopped by Alice. "Carlisle she wasn't your true mate" he stops in his tracks with his eyebrows frowned. "What are you talking about Alice" he speaks with an angry voice. "She.. I saw a vision of another.. human" Bella's attention was brought to the situation. "Aro.. what's he going to think of another human knowing about us?" she asks quietly "No, we made peace with the volturi, it shouldn't come to a fight" Edward explains only making Carlisle more angrier by the second. "I don't want anyone else.. i just want Esme back.." he says with sorrow in his voice then speeds off to his office where he never left for weeks.
as weeks past the rest of the coven became worried for him as he never left his office. the only time he left was to go to her funeral that Alice had planned but after that day they never saw him again until he met her.. that changed his life
Meeting her saved him..
