Chapter Ten

"I love you.."

My heart began to beat quicker with each beat as I kept looking into his eyes with tears threatening to fall at any giving moment. "Its ok if you dont love me back I just-" I cut him off by jogging up to him and cupping both of his ice cold cheeks and pressing my lips softly onto his, he must of finally registered what was happening and gently wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled me closer to him. the kiss what everything I had expected almost like it had come straight out of a romance, it was soft and gentle and it put a big smile on my face causing us to both pull away from the kiss and smile at each other. "I have been waiting what seems like a very long time to do that" I smile up at him and kiss him gently and pull away from his completely.  

"How about we go back to the others and deal with Alice the best we can" I laugh and grab hold of his hand and walked back to the house with smiles on both our faces. Once we got back to the house we both heard a loud squeal and felt someone drag me away from Carlisle with a lot of force. "Whoa Alice calm down!" I laugh as she swings me around in a bone crushing hug while laughing. "I'm sorry I'm just so happy!" I laugh and hug her back the best I can. "ok calm down Alice your gonna crush her" Emmett laughs as Alice pulls away from me with a giant smile on her face. "by the way, Jasper wants to speak with you in his room" Rosalie speaks softly. 

knocking on the door of Jaspers room was slightly nerve wracking, not only have I never seen the room but I've also never spoke with him in a room  without another person so its a little different. I hear small hum from the other side of the door indicating to go into the room. "hey Jasper, Rosalie told me you wanted to speak with me?" he nods as he puts the book back on the shelve along with the other hundreds of books he has. "I'm sorry its not a formal setting but I just wanted to thank you" I give him a confused look as he lightly laughs and pats the bed that he's sat on. "You might be confused as of why I'm thanking you?" I nod and he smiles at me and gets up off the bed and moves towards the window.

"you see, about 2 years before you came along Carlisle had another lover named Esme, she was the best mother figure anyone could ask for, she was beautiful and incredibly smart and everyone adored her for her kindness and selfless towards others." "She seemed lovely, but what happened to her?" I could clearly see his whole body tense up at the question. "it was Mid spring the year 2014, we were all hunting, going our separate ways to make it a little easier for us all as doing it I one big group never works out" he sighs and moves to face me with a sad look in his eyes. "while hunting.. something that we still have no idea of, came up behind her and" he lets out a small cry causing me to run over and bring him into a hug while he lays his head on my shoulder while I rub his bad for comfort. "you dont have to tell me the rest if you dont want to" he shakes his head and pulls away from me. "something came up from behind her and ripped her to pieces leaving the head untouched. the image of Carlisle's screams still I my mind everyday only make it worse for us all, I had to tackle him to the floor so he wouldn't do anything stupid as I know what he's like when he's angry"

"we never saw him, he was always in his office and the only time he did come out was to attend the funeral. but the worst part was, he was slowly breaking. and when I say break I mean literally cracking which is never a good sign for us"  I look at him with widened eyes while tears started to swell up in my eyes. "that was until he smelt your blood, to him you smell just like daisy's which is where the nickname came from" I smile up at him making him smile softly back and sit back down next to me but facing a little more towards me. "I'm thanking you because you have brought his happiness back and all of us cant thank you enough for it."

"I'm so grateful i was able to bring back his happiness.. I never would of thought I would be in love with a vampire in my life but here we are" we both laugh lightly.

I'm so glad I was able to bring joy back into their lives...
