Blake's P.O.V. (the next morning)
The next morning I wake up to the sound of Millennia, by Crown The Empire, blaring throughout my room. I'm not really complaining much, but it was a surprise. I get up and sung along to it for a little bit. Today has started off to a good morning. So far. Anyway I go to my closet pull out just a plain black shirt some dark-washed skinnies and my black converse. I put my eyebrow and lip ring in; I fix my hair; and finally brush my teeth. I am now fully ready.
I open my door, and slightly peak my head out. Coast is clear, so I tiptoe down the stairs to the kitchen. When I get there I make the same sandwich I made the day before, because that is all we have, but today I decided to make a second one just in case I'm hungrier than usual. I place my lunch in my bag go back upstairs and grab my iPod and phone because I left them up there before.
I don't want to risk getting caught by him this morning so I climb out my window and jump to the ground landing perfectly on my feet. It dawned on me then, my dad never even came home last night. All that sneaking around this morning was for nothing. Oh well, I'll admit it was slightly fun. I shake my head grinning and walk to my jeep. I hop in and drive to school.
When I get there all the guys: Hunter, Ben, and Tate are standing by the entrance. I get to them, and they all greet me. "What's up man?" Tate asks.
"Nothing much, just getting used to everything," I respond.
"So we still up for lunch today?" Ben asks me.
"Yeah I'll still be there."
We walk in listening to a story Tate is telling about some girl he picked up last night. I can already tell Tate is a player.
I see Jay at her locker from the corner of my eye. I nudge Hunter in the arm motioning that I'm slipping away for a second. I start walking over to her, ignoring every voice in my head telling me not too.
She hasn't noticed me yet. She shuts her locker and walks away. Ruining my chances of talking to her again. I watch her walk away, leaving me devastated. So I thought of a way I could talk to her without her having to get close to me. I get a piece of paper and pen from my bag. I right her a small note, pull out the second rapped up sandwich I made, and place them in her locker.
I walk back over to the guys, who are now watching me with a confused look on their faces. When I get to them I say "what!?" a confused expression plastered onto my face as well.
"I know that wasn't your locker," Hunter stated.
"I don't know what your talking about," I said back to him.
"Oh bull, Blake. We all watched you put something in that girls locker."
"Do you know her?" Ben budded in.
"Dude you like her!?" Tate practically yelled with a big grin on his face.
"What!? Yes, I know her, but barely. We just bumped into each other yesterday and we have two classes together. That's it," I said answering them.
"Then what did you put in her locker?" asked Tate.
"Just a note...." my voice trailed off.
"There was something else, but fine I won't keep asking."
"Good," I said relief dripping from my tung.
"So why didn't you just talk to her?" Hunter asked with his arms crossed and a smart-alloc grin on his face.
"Uuuuuugh its complicated!" I whined putting my head against the locker.
"Fine, but we will get answers at lunch."
"Good luck," I said with disbelief while walking to first block.
~~~~~~~
First block flew by. Now I was in second, paying no attention to the lesson. But instead to the small, light brown haired girl with red-violet colored streaks, that pulled me in and pushed me away all in one day. I'm studying every little detail of her face: her bright emerald green eyes, long eyelashes, slightly plump pink lips, thick layer of eyeliner on top, thin line on the bottom, and high cheekbones. Beautiful. Is only one word that describes her. Gorgeous is another simple one.
The bell rings making me jump. I stand up after Jay does I quietly follow behind her. Just a small distance between the two of us. I watch her open her locker. She sees the sandwich and the note. She looks a little hesitant. That's expected though. She starts reading the note, and takes the sandwich smiling.
All I can do is smile at her and walk away. I go to lunch and sit with the guys, still smiling like an idiot.
They all look at me with a surprised yet confused smile. "What's that huge grin for, Blake?" asked Hunter
"This morning," I state as a matter of fact.
"The girl?" Tate states more than asks.
"Yep," I say popping the "p" and smiling ear to ear.
"Did you ask her out?" Hunter asks me curious.
"No," I slightly chuckle.
Hunter starts to speak again but was cut off by someone tapping my shoulder lightly.
I turn around and see Jay standing there looking all shy and timid. She's so cute. I smile at her and she smiles back saying, "hey Blake, can I talk to you for a minute."
"Yeah of course," I tell her while standing up.
When we're walking away the guys start "oohing" at us. I motion for them to stop, but of corse they don't.
We get to a corner where we can be alone and she says...
