Watching from afar sitting in the tallest tree Sabastian's vision is a smokey blur as the sun sets over the horizon. The smoke from their fire burning his eyes. Looking out at the girl with the same boy as a man walks between the two cabins talking to the two of them as he shuts the gates and separates a heard of sheep. A dog curls up at the boy's feet as he gives it a bone the girl finds her feet. Doesn't take long for her to begin spinning and twirling playing with the tool of her dress a smile rides on her face as she pokes the man who Sabastian assumes must be the man the king told him about. From what the king has told him however he isn't understanding why he would crop her ears and make her color her hair, the king told him he had a respect for elves as he once had a romance with one- The Queen. Not seeing a sign, she is around however it becomes clear to him that the man must've raised the girl on his own.
From the distance he understands they're arguing about something but not able to hear of what, still though the man looks angry it goes away quickly when the girl smiles and giggles at him happily. Somehow in the very pit of his core he knows she gives him the same feeling and he knows how hard it'll be for him to ever stay mad at such a beautiful ray of light. Sitting up as the boy gets up too pouring water over the fire more smoke fills the air as the girl spins around the pit the elf finds her humorous wondering how she was so well hidden this whole time. A light elf never appears blue around other and is always frolicking about. Watching her smile next to the boy as they begin walking to one of the cabins, he shuts the door behind them as the girl goes into the window to put the light. Looking out of the window as if she could sense the elfs' presence she looks up at tree for a second before blowing out the candle.
Every little thing she does he can't help but find perfect, even the little gesture of blowing the candle out and the way she softly pecked her lips. Watching her disappear into the house his eyes flicker to a new presence.
A woman walks up to the man patting his shoulder before walking to the cabin the two of them went too as she goes to open the door it opens revealing the girl, she spins around the woman making her smile and waves her off as she rushes back up to the man. The two of them cross to the larger cabin connected to a barn where he herded some of the sheep. Seeing they must be turning in for the night he understands he doesn't have to worry for now.
Getting out of the tree he gets going back to the Inn he rented out for the week. Walking through the bar at the first floor of the stay he waves as the people at the bar holler at him to join, turning into the darken hall he heads up the stairs stepping over a passed out drunk on the floor and down the second hall to his room. As the elf unlocks his door, he hears someone reaching the top of the stairs not far behind him and looks up at a plain appearing boy with rough chopped black hair. Looking over the plain boy for a moment he continues to unlock the door remembering seeing him leave the library shortly before he and the two others had arrived. For a moment he wondered if he knew the princess but that is a bold statement he'll have to wait to find out. Shutting the door behind himself he takes off the cloaks and pulls his long hair up into a bun feeling his ears he sighs softly before flopping onto the mattress lifting his head to look over out the window at the clouds passing over the moon.
Meanwhile back at the cabin lodges the girl gets into the bed with the dog as the men sits in the chair across from her slouching, he pulls off his shoes. Looking over at him as she pulls the black and brown spotted shaggy sheep dog close, she pets him behind the ears as he lays on her lap,
"What are we to do?" She questions softly,
"You and I will leave for the city early" Morte says,
"Just us?" She questions, "That isn't fair too-" she stops pulling her feet in sighing,
"You really want him to come?" Morte chuckles looking at her but she just blushes and scuffs rolling over as the dog cuddles close to her, "If you see a elven man he knows who you are and we can't be sure if he is on your side, he was probably watching us hidden somewhere tonight"
