The walk from the entrance of the cave system wasn't anything she expected it to be as Sabastian walked them down trails she never noticed tell they seemed to walk through walls. As they passed rocks she normally wouldn't take a second look at, moss that is a slightly bluer hue than green, little bits of things that told them when and where to turn. The caves brighter than anyone would predict them to be as Sabastian wielded no fire on his fingers the way she knew he could, nor any torch light, or reflective fragments or hollows to let thee sky pier in. It should be darkness but some kind of magic lets them see the path to the Underground Kingdom glowing with a white light as they walk into a mountain sized geode.
Slowly the white melts to a pink and eventually turns to the warmth of orange and red, walking into an opening so large they might as well walk back outside her eyes widened and without thinking her hand grabs Daemon's and she smiles wildly. Within a ruby geode is The Underground Kingdom, a city that screams fire. Looking down into the streets busy with elves and all sorts of other creatures. The buildings of all shapes and sizes matching the difference creatures that roamed the streets, some beautifully aged, and some not so. Mossed covered stone, large new buildings standing out between them. In the center of their world is a fountain made of the ruby and she squints at it seeing it's a man with wings holding a woman and she smiles a little more understanding that must be her mother and father. Somehow for the first time the brief thought of her father didn't bother her.
Lanterns with blue flames dance across the red gemmed lanes and tips of the geode, making her look up and mouth gapes as she sees all kinds of glittering flashing lights flying past so quickly that you see flashes of glittering colors. Fairy and Pixies in their houses carved in a ceiling of ruby gems. Lanterns of white lights floating all around looking as though they're stars.
Looking towards the back is a red castle standing tall and powerful. It makes her chest throb looking across at it. Its fire being orange and red standing out from its city's fires of blue and green. There's no wall or mote and she can see vendors on the path between the large doors and the city below it, elves wandering in and out of the business. The castles she had heard of men building block out their subjects endless for special occasions.
"Ready?" Sabastian questioned,
She smiled and nodded as he turned them down a staircase made of dark stone and lined with melted gold. Reflecting and glistening with all the lights.
From above she couldn't see all the amazements of people as Sabastian tossed his cloak over Daemon and put his hood up on his head. The two of them watched her happiness and glee as she looked around. Elve's of all kinds of shapes, colors, and sizes wandered the bustling streets carved of ruby, large buildings made in the glowing stone. The dazzling streets packed with all kinds of smells, spells, nick nocks and things she had no idea what. But they were beautiful and called to her. The blue flames danced on the different faces of elves, some with cyclops eyes, some with more than two eyes, some with antlers, tails, and teeth hanging past their chins, masks and beaks. Some looked as though they're from heaven, but some from hell, while others had wings, tusks, and legs that weren't human, nor upper bodies that seemed not human either. For Daemon it was a bit horrifying, but for Ray her smile only grew as she found them all strangely beautiful. They were things she never got to read in her books.
Stopping at benders they all smiled at her as they watched her silver hair drape over her shoulders. They all see her as a high elf but she couldn't read their markings of items and their prices so she only offered a smile, most would smile back instead of pushing their luck when they'd look up at Sabastian behind her. None questioning the elf cloaked she pulled with her as most high elves had pets.
Finally making it to the center it opened into a less busy street that spread out into a large circle. Orbs floating around softly lighting the area and she wandered to the front of the large fountain where her father stands tall in front of her with large wings out of his back, but she didn't care much of looking at the detailing of him. The woman however- The Queen, Lea being the most beautiful elf that had ever lived in his arms, her hand cuffing his cheeks as she wears the happiest smile Ray had ever seen looming over him. Softly she whimpers and Daemon's hand tightens in hers as Sabastian looks her over in awe a bit, his ears pulling back not wanting to hear her cries as she looks over the beautiful statue, even her father is breathtaking.
