"Come in"

That Daemon does. Everything about her is stunningly beautiful even when she cries, but hearing her whimpered tone voice straight behind the puffy face makes his heartache as he peers down at her and softly lets the door shut behind him.

"Don't leave me "she begs, stumbling to find her feet, "Please!"

"Ray, you know I didn't have the choice" he frowns wishing he knew how to comfort her, show her it'll all work out for them in the end, "I am not safe here nor good enough for you tell I am strong enough to be your protector"

"He" she struggles, "He did this on purpose" She breaths huskily through her teeth-

Exhausted from her long day in these tight-fitting gowns, from crying and arguing she falls forward. Letting herself fall into him she nuzzles herself into his chest as far as she can without suffocating herself taking in his warm musky scent and sighs as she lets out a jagged breath. Listening to his rapid heart racing for her touch makes her finally smile just a little as she feels her nerves calming she holds him tightly mumbling,

"I didn't lie when I told Reign that I love you" she muffles her hot breath seeping through his blouse and shivering down him, "I love you, Daemon"

Ray looks up at him as he finally holds her back with only one arm, the other grabbing her chin gently forcing her to look up. Their eyes connect both filled with gentle tears, but he doesn't fail to wipe away the strays wandering down her blushed cheeks.

"Usually the guy says it first," Daemon says gently, Ray grins at him that big goofy grin that caught his heart years ago, "Or at least they in those sappy novels you adore so much"

"Those sap novels are the only reason why I am admitting this to you" she snarled looking away out of the corner of her eyes,

Till his thumb smooths over her bottom lip softly but not softly enough it doesn't move a little from the pressure and he can feel the warmth of her breath on the tip of his finger, feel the denseness of her lip, the gentle soft pink skin.

"I don't think two years is that much time," he says, his hand softly moving back up her cheek and tucking a loose strand of her beautiful hair making his eyes look from her soft lips to the gold jewelry crowning her softly pointed ear "I had loved you for years now, Ray, two years isn't going to change that."

That is when Sabastian decides to go to the training yard to let off steam not wanting to hear anymore before he hears something that'll hurt even more. The elf does understand that she doesn't owe him a thing- that her being a light elf had gifted her with that right. If it were the other way around, he wonders if he would have fallen for another too if he'd have the heart to decline her but that feels impossible to him.

Looking up he finds a beautiful fiery blood red hair elf practicing her target aim with dagger throwing. Hundred or so daggers line a wood table she must've set up herself as he already knows the other nine are possible at a bar. The elves' ears pull back as she looks over her head at him giving him a fanged grin, the only one of his ten that doesn't call him sir- nor General. The one he had known since childhood the way Ray had known Daemon, a bond between the two of them up tell Reign had told him about his daughter, and that he would be sired to her when they met. The way the redhead beauty in front of him was sired to her mate too, only her mate didn't fail to love her back.

"Word has it the wedding bells won't be ringing any time soon and when they finally ring in two years it won't be to make a General our new Prince and future king, but a mortal man our dear sweat Princess love" she glints at him in a tone nobody but her would ever dare to have,
