Two long slow weeks go by and Ray grows impatient as she paces. One last weekend together. These past two weeks without talking to Sabastian as much as she despises admitting to herself have been freakishly hard and now he's all she's going to have. For two years.

Every day for two weeks she had left her lessons to wait in the great hall for The Ten to be done with their training, but today it's running long and her heels are doing what heels do best. They're digging into her heels. Flipping them off her feet she gathers them into her hands. Storming out the courtyard doors hissing at the instant coolness under them as she walks down the stone stairs and into the courtyard. Looking down as she walks she feels her hair fall into her face hiding her from the people who stand outside to catch glimpses of her. The lost Princess who had finally returned. She makes it to the hedges and looks up seeing everyone still sparring in the yard.

They all stop except two of them- Sabastian and Daemon. All staring at her fizzed hair and dirt at the bottom of her cool pastel green dress is now brown tipped at the bottom where her red toes hang out. Watching as Daemon finds his feet he pants and re-takes a stance with a wooden sword out in front of him. Making her tense up,

"I had told you not to come out here during practice, Princess" Sabastian says without looking at her,

"You're wasting what time I have left with him" she spats,

The Ten go silent as they watch Sabastian lower his sword and Daemon huffs his eyes glaring through his sweaty wet bangs as his hot breath mists with his harsh toned words towards her,

"You're wasting what time we have left"

Ray's heart stumbles as much as she wishes to let her knees stumble as she looks from Sabastian to him. Shivering she huffs with a wave of her hand and turns on her heels stopping when she hears him talk again,

"Don't wait up"

Looking over her shoulder she watches as instantly before her vision could even make out what happened Daemon is disarmed and Sabastian's sword is to his throat. The words hit her the way Sabastian hit him, hard. Slumping she begins to trail back inside and stops at the top of the stairs looking up through her tangling hair at her sister standing outside the courtyard doors hearing the clapping of wood.

"Funny with all the stories of light and dark, good and evil people always believed light was good, and dark was evil"

"Esmaray '' Ray growls, but her sister shrugs as Ray looks over her shoulder seeing the ten coming up the walk, but Sabastian and Daemon are not.

Watching Ashton stop and place his head against her sister makes her chest ache in a pain she doesn't understand and her eyes narrow at the ground as she tries to control her thoughts. Tries too and fails. Walking back down the stairs her feet were completely numb at this point anyway her arms sending shivers down her spine as she tucked her hands into her armpits letting the heat defrost them. The leopard girl stops with her arms leaving the large blue lions nodding at him to move forward without her. Ray looks up at him and steps aside away from him, but her eyes remain on Jabari even as she senses him look over his shoulder at them curiously.

"Your Highness" she purrs, her blue eyes matching Ray's own- in a way to Ray more beautiful than her own,

"It's just Ray, please" she whispers, "We've been friends for two weeks now, have we not?"

The feline woman sighs softly her ears tucking back at the sound of Daemon's cursing in the distance"- I know it may have seemed Sabastian was being harsh-"

"I don't care if he's being an ass-" Ray interrupts, "I only have tomorrow and Sunday Morning left"

The two girls' tones couldn't be more different. Ray is cold, harsh and to the point and Jabari's is soft and accented, easily able to tell this isn't her first language.
