We had all had a break from training, to watch Sean attempt to fly. Erik and I hung out one window, whilst Hank, Charles and Sean were in the other window. "You need the soundwaves to be supersonic. Catch them at the right angle, and they should carry you." Hank explained. The young boy scoffed. "They should carry me. That's reassuring." Hank looked at Charles. "Good luck." He said. I wouldn't have decsribed what came out of his mouth as a scream. It sounded more like a dying crow. My reflexes were on point, when I caught him to stop him from falling into the bush. I brought him back up and placed him safely in the window.

It was crazy to see how we were all adapting to our ability and strengthening ourselves up. Over the short span of a week, we had more control over our gifts than we ever would've thought. Erik and I had grown closer than before, and my brother was starting to take notes.
"You seem happier." He had said to me one night in the kitchen. "Get out of my head Charles." I said with a shake of my head and a chuckle. "I'm not in your head Annie. He just has that impact on you. You're good for each other." He smiled. I took a sip of my tea, and turned to him. "Is this some kind of approval thing?" I asked him with a raised brow. "No. I-Uh." He stammered. "Focus on your own sex life, then come back to me on mine. How is Moira by the way?" I smirked, seeing the look of outrage on my brothers face. "Goodnight Charlie." I said, walking out of the kitchen.

A few days later, we were up on the satellite dish. Sean was trying to learn to fly again, but with a larger space to fall. He looked down nervously and back up at us. Hank, Charles, Erik and I were up with him. "And you truly believe I'll fly this time?" He asked anxiously. "Unreservedly." Charles smiled. "I trust you." Sean said, gesturing to my brother. "I'm touched." He retorted. "I don't trust him." Sean said, pointing to Hank. "Say nothing." Charles instructed. "I'm gonna die." He cried out as the overthinking process began. "Alright, we're not going to make you do anything you dont feel-." Charles started, but was interrupted by Erik. "Here let me help." He said, stepping forward and giving Sean a push. We all watched as he was just falling and not screaming. "Erik!" Charles scolded. But his anger dissipated, when we saw him cheering and flying. "What?" Erik asked innocently. "You know you were thinking the same." He said with a smile.

I hadn't really learnt much more about my power, so I liked to watch other people's lessons. I walked over to observe my brother, who was standing with Erik. "Try turning it to face us." Charles suggested. Erik turned to look at him to see if he was being serious, and my twin just nodded. Taking a deep breath and preparing himself, Erik took his stance and began. But soon enough, his face grew red and his hands were trembling. He hung his head low and got his breath back. "You know, I believe that true focus lies somewhere between rage and serenity." Charles told him. "Would you mind if I?" He asked, wiggling his fingers to resemble looking in his head. Erik shrugged and Charles pressed his fingers against his temple. I watched their interaction with curiosity, as a tear rolled down both Erik and Charles' cheek. "What did you just do to me?" Erik asked. "I accessed the brightest corner of your memory system. It's a very beautiful memory, Erik. Thank you." Charles explained. "I didn't know I still had that." He smiled. "There is so much more to you than you know. Not just pain and anger. There's good too, I felt it. Annabelle certainly knows it. I've noticed you both spending a great deal of time together." Charles said and I rolled my eyes, heading over to them both. "I heard my name. I was summoned." I said, smiling bright at my brother and our friend. "Come on, try again." Charles encouraged. I watched as Erik focused all his energy on moving the satellite dish until we started to hear a creaking sound. I turned to my brother with proud eyes, then Erik started laughing. "You're doing it!" I cried happily in encouragement. Once the dish was completely facing us, I jumped up into his arms. "I knew you could do it." I told him proudly. "We'll celebrate tonight if you want? I know where all the good liquor is stashed." I grinned, whispering into his ear. He nuzzled his head into my shoulder, then brought his face up next to my ear. I waited in anticipation, but we were interrupted by Moira. "Hey!" She called. "The President is about to make his address." She yelled from the window. I rolled my eyes, and slid off Erik. "Your girlfriend has the worst timing." I said jokingly to Charles, as we walked inside.

We all gathered around the TV and watched as the President spoke. "It shall not be the policy of this nation to regard any nuclear missile crossing the embargo line that surrounds Cuba as an attack by the Soviet Union on the United States requiring a full retaliatory response upon the Soviet Union." He explained. Erik pointed his gun at the TV. "That's where we're going to find Shaw." He said, certainly. "How do you know?" Hank asked. "Two superpowers facing off and he wants to start WW3. He won't leave anything to chance." I said, earning a nod from Erik. "So much for diplomacy." He said. "I suggest you all get a good night's sleep." Erik said.

Third Person POV

They all dispersed to their individual rooms, and it was just Erik and Charles left. "So you and Annabelle?" Charles asked inquisitively. "Yes Charles, me and your sister. What are you getting at?" He asked with a raised brow. "I don't know. I just want to talk to my friend. Is that so wrong?" He questioned. "Just get to the point Charles." Erik said with a roll of my eyes. "Okay, fine. Are you two getting together or what?! Because I see your feelings for each other, but you don't seem to be acting on it. It's very frustrating from this end. And if you're not getting together, then what are your intentions with my sister?" Charles admitted. "Charles, you're right. I have feelings for your sister. But we've only known each other a few weeks. Sure we've had plenty of sex in that time, but I don't want it to seem like we're moving to quickly." Erik said, and Charles grimaced at the image of his best friend and sister fucking. "Trust me Erik. Tell her tonight." Charles told his friend with a serious look on his face.

Annabelle's POV

I went to our stepfather's old study and found the key to a certain cupboard. I had promised Erik the good stuff, so the good stuff is what he'd get. Only I knew about this stash, and I'd mainly just get it out for special occassions. But fuck it, tomorrow we were gonna save the world. After rummaging around trying to find it, I just settled on, (insert fancy alchohol here) , hopefully it was to his taste. I walked down our corridor and finally reached his room. I knocked on the door and opened it, if he was in the shower, it wouldn't be anything I hadn't seen before.
I opened the door and was roughly pushed against the wall. "Erik?" I asked hesitantly. "S'everything okay?" I added. He nudged his face against mine. "M'need you." He whined, gripping my hips and grinding into them. "What's the matter E?" I questioned. "We could fucking die tomorrow and I don't want to die knowing that I never told this girl I really like her and that she's my fucking world." He said, continuing to grind between my legs. I let out a shaky breath as he sucked against my collarbone. "Wow, this girl must be real special." I told him. "Fucking hell Annie just let me fucking fuck you." He said in almost a whimper. "Then fucking do it Erik. This could be our last night on earth." I moaned, as he bit down on my neck. (I couldn't do it a second time. Haha.)

Once we had finished our activity, Erik and I were under the sheets, facing each other. "I meant what I said earlier, I really like you Annabelle." He smiled, as his left hand ran through my hair. "I really like you too Erik." I told him, reaching my hand up to his face. I leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his lips. "Then what should we do about it?" He asked, looking at me with those electric blue eyes. "I would ask you to be my boyfriend." I said, biting my lip, before kissing his nose. "Then I would ask you to be my girlfriend." Erik said, repeating my action. "So what do you say Mr Lensherr?" I teased. "Call me that more often and we're onto a winner." He said suggestively. "What say you Miss Xavier?" He grinned inching closer. "I'd happily be your girlfriend." I smiled. "Then I'd happily be your boyfriend." He said, pulling me into a soft but passionate kiss. "Goodnight my love." Erik mumbled into my hair. "Goodnight Magneto." I said with a chuckle.

" I said with a chuckle
