Jordan could hear the whimpers from his office, which made him jump up. He was tired, hadn't slept in three days, but Aleks was whimpering. Aleks needed him right now. He took the steps to get to his room, where Aleks was staying, and walked in. The door had remained open ever since Jordan had found Aleks the way he did.
Aleks was asleep, Jordan realized once he noticed the thrashing. He kneeled beside the bed and placed a hand on Aleks' shoulder.
"No, help." Words were leaving Aleks as unknown tears slid down his cheeks.
"Aleks, wake up." Jordan coaxed, quietly sliding his fingers through Aleks' hair. The thrashing was becoming less violent and the whimpering quieted.
"I'm here, you're alright." He continued speaking these soft words to the scared russian, even once Aleks' eyes had opened.
"Did I, it was, I'm sorry." Aleks couldn't finish a sentence, all of his thoughts coming up short. Jordan shook his head, smiling at Aleks and telling him that it was alright. He moved his hand away from Aleks' hair and got more comfortable on the floor.
"How's your wrist?" Jordan questioned.
Aleks moved his hand out from under the blanket and looked at his red cast. It would be another two weeks before he could even think about getting it off. He shrugged and turned his gaze back away from Jordan.
This is how it had been for the past, almost week. Aleks didn't speak unless spoken to, didn't leave the bedroom unless Jordan asked him too. Also he didn't really look at Jordan, usually turning his gaze away from whoever spoke to him. The phone that had formerly been Aleks' vibrated on the bedside table. Jordan had given it back to Aleks in hopes that he would use it to confide in Eddie or one of his other friends.
Aleks grabbed it and opened it, then shut it immediately after and put it back on the table.
"Still not talking to Eddie?" Jordan questioned. Aleks shook his head, pulling the blanket further up on his lap.
"I uh- I can go back to my room if you w-want me out." Aleks stumbled over his words, although Jordan shook his head.
"This room is closer to my office, so it's easier to help you right now." He said as he stood up. He paused to yawn and stretch, Aleks kicked hard in his sleep. Aleks nodded to the unasked question ad grabbed lightly onto Jordan's shirt.
"You should sleep, I'll go to the living room for a bit." Aleks offered.
"No, stay in here I don't mind." Jordan said as he walked around to the other side and bounced onto the bed. Aleks nodded, locking his fingers together. Jordan wrapped an arm cautiously around Aleks' hip. Aleks didn't move away from the grasp, nor did he move into it but he acknowledged it with a nod.
This was okay. Jordan was okay.
