"Merlin's Beard, Dwalin! DWALIN!"
Dwalin and the other dwarves looked up into the sky where Lily had taken to flying around to spot any danger ahead of him coming rushing in like she had a bad case of the zoomies. Her tone didn't sound panicky therefore he wasn't too worried but if he learned anything in the last few days while traveling with the human witch then he knew when Lily was excited... It was something he probably ought to worry about.
He shuddered when that odd little creature came flying out of her purse a few days back. A niffler she had called it... named Pumpkin. It had caused havoc in the camp. It was only a hairsbreadth away from being roasted on the fire had she not gained control of the slight bugger.

"Oi!" Lofin shouted, his necklace was yanked off around his neck and a little half duck - half furry looking thing went flying down the grass.
Lily had jolted off her blanket, her supper forgotten as her eyes widened and she went running after him.
Dwalin and Jorgûn had laughed until the startled yells and screams started. The two of them broke through the crowd to find Lily wrestling the oddest little creature in the dirt and wrangling a shiny object from its hands.
"Pumpkin!" Lily chided it. "Let it go!"
The creature released it causing her to fall on her rump. It looked abashed as it clambered up on her shoulder. She pouted. "Oh... Pumpkin... Hagrid is going to be so worried about you. How did you get in my bag? How are you even alive-- No, YOU DIDN'T!"
Turned out, it was some sort of pet of hers from her world and it ate whatever food it could find in her bag including her box of canary creams, not that Dwalin knew what that was.
💠
Lily skidded off her firebolt scaring the burly guard and the others around him as she yanked out a large sack from her small pouch. "What is it?" Jorgûn demanded. He was more cautious than Dwalin was, he could quite literally put Moody's CONSTANT VIGILANCE to shame. Which was saying something, Lily thought with a sort of amusement.
"Dittany! Do you know how expensive this plant is?" She waved the heavy-laden bag around. She couldn't believe her bloody luck when she spotted it. This one bag alone would be worth thousands of galleons due to how straining it was to grow it. Many have tried and many have killed the plant before it could even mature for potion usage. Only those with deft hands and green thumbs could grow the strenuous plant. Neville Longbottom came to mind.
"That's a poisonous weed, Lass," Karmar laughed in disbelief and proceeded to reach for the bag to take from her. "It upsets the stomach."
Lily ripped it away from his grabby hands, glaring. "You're not supposed to eat it!" She admonished him. "You have to treat it first and then pull the essence out. It can heal even the deepest of lacerations if done correctly."
Karmar pulled away from her with surprise. "How do you know that?"
She was unsure if she should have been offended by that or not. Odds were pointing that she ought to be offended by the way he said "you" as if her being knowledgeable about healing was impossible or that whatever she had to say about it was ringing false. Like whatever she had to say came with an impending dismissive response because it was utter hogwash.
Well if there was one thing Lily knew and long since accepted about herself was that she really hated when nobody took her seriously or thought she was daft.
Lily had much to the surprise of Professor McGonagall and Headmaster Dumbledore been Professor Snape's favorite student. It probably had a lot to do with her face favoring her mum rather than her dad's. She had never been blunt enough to ask the Dungeon Bat why he was nice to her when he was so surly and rude to everyone else but it wasn't hard to take a gamble on him being friends with her mum when he told her often at school how much she resembled as well as acted like Lily Evans. There had been a strange fondness in his voice that could only have been there by knowing a person.
