Chapter 24

We are just arriving at Jensen's families house. So far, I'm impressed. He lived in a nice neighborhood in the Dallas area. Josh was coming later when he got off work. Mackenzie was at a friends house working on school work. When we got their Alan and Donna sat all of us down to talk about the show and how well it's doing. When they finally let us leave, Jared, Jensen, and I went for a walk.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"This is the neighborhood I grew up in. There's a park and some other cool spots up the road." Jensen said.

Jared was walking behind us talking on his phone. Me and Jensen were holding hands talking about when he was younger.

"Josh only being a few years older, he would take me out with him. He would take me to the park and the pond. Then when I was around 10, I would just go by myself when Josh would go with his friends." Jensen told me.

"That's sweet. My brother and sister never did that for me." I say

"When Mackenzie turned 5, I was 12. I would always take her to the park when I could. I thought it would be cool to let her have the experience I did. When I became a teenager, I got so caught up with sports and stuff, I didn't get to take her as much. If I ever promised her, I took her."

"That's really sweet of you babe. I like that you're a family man. You'll be a great dad one day." I say and kiss his shoulder.

"I'm promising you this now, within ten years, that will be us. We will have a family." Jensen said and kissed my temple.

"Hey guys. Sorry about that. My mom was apologizing for everything." Jared said catching up.

"No worries Jar." I say.

When we finally got the park, it was empty. No kid in sight. It was weird. Jared and Jensen took advantage of it though. They played like little kids and I eventually joined them. We went down the road and saw a pond. There were a few people fishing, but not many. Jensen took us to a bench and we sat down.

"This doesn't even compare to Ryden's." Jared said.

"I know. I used to think this was so cool. Then I saw Ry's." Jensen said.

I laughed at them. "I'm sorry guys for ruining ponds for you."

"Better be." Jared says.

Someones phone started to ring and it was Jared's. "Hey guys, I'm going to head back to the house and take this call." and after that he left.

"I then there were two." I said while laughing.

"Come on, I wanna take you somewhere else. I promise it will be worth it." He grabbed my hand and dragged me towards the trees.

"Hey, is this where you take me to kill me, because an hour ago you promised a family." I joke.

"Yes, I realize I am going to break my promise, but you must go." He joked back. "it's just up here a little bit." He said holding a tree branch out of my way.

"Wow!" I say when I see a beautiful garden with mutliple colored flowers and a brick walk way that led to a beautiful white gazebo. "This is beautiful"

"But not as beautiful as you." he says and it makes me blush.

He grabs my hand and leads me down the walk way towards the gazebo. We sat down.

"I always thought this place was beautiful. I wanted to get married here. Yes I thought of my wedding like a girl, I know." he laughed. "Now I think, I don't want to share it with everyone. I want this to be my getaway place."
