Chapter 5

"Narumi..." I shout as I follow him out.

He dismissed class yet again, without so much as teaching us a damn thing. I'd been trying to discuss the events that had taken place prior to my recovery but the way he's been acting has really pissed me off, "I have something to say to you." 

Today I must know... I must find out where Mikan is and I know Narumi is the only who can tell me. I glare at him and his back shivers as he quickens his pace. His feet light on fire but he puts it out rapidly. 

Since I've recovered, he's been avoiding me and it's bothering the hell out of me. I absolutely hate when people avoid me, I'm the one who avoids people. I throw fire at him again and I see veins popping all over his head as he turns angrily at me. His amethyst eye's turning a fury red. "I have nothing to reveal to you Natsume!" He turns to sprint at full speed, I run after him and after a while he starts gasping for air so I take that moment to jump him. I pull his hair back and threaten him with my fire, the flame warping in my palm. 

He sweats as he reluctantly nods. He swallows, "Alright. You got me..."

I lead him to the woods where everything is practically hidden and there's no cameras around. I know because otherwise I would never be here in the first place. When we get to the fountain I turn to face him and give him a death glare, "YOU have a lot of explaining to do...NOW." I lean on the fountain and cross my legs.

"Mikan is gone and...has lost her memories of Alice Academy." he forces a smile which makes me even more pissed than I already am. I'm on the verge of roasting this man.

I clench my fist, holding myself back, "I know that much... What happened to Imai and her brother?"

"When you made that ring of fire around the elementary school principal. You used up too much of your Alice that it shortened your life all together and the result was your death." I frown, and cross my arms, listening to the idiot teacher. "Mikan saw on the floor and nullified your Alice but by then it had already been too late. She used up all of her Alice by inserting it into you. Without an Alice, Mikan is a non-user and can no longer attend the Academy... Forced to leave the school, her memories had to be taken for her safety. During that time the Imai siblings and Nodacchi went back to the past to save you. Imai-san sacrificed herself to heal you and her brother used his Alice on you. Nodacchi replaced the natsume of the present with you. If you want to know about the whereabouts of the siblings. I'm afraid that is all we know of the situation. The Imai siblings' location is unknown at the moment. But I have to be honest with you... they have probably ceased to exist. All our memories of them are starting to disappear."

I sigh, "I see."

"I'm sorry Natsume."

I shake my head, "Now...tell me where Mikan is." He gives me a sad, gloomy look. "What?"

"I can't tell you where she is Natsume.... She's safe so you don't need to worry." I throw a fireball at him and he struggles to put it out.

"She's not safe without me." I scowl at him and turn away so I am facing the city in the distance. That's where I'll go. "Tell me idiot teacher." I snap at him. My body starts to burn again and a dry cough escapes my lips.

"Natsume...it's getting late and you should rest. You haven't recovered fully yet right? We can continue this conversation another day." He warns me but I brush past him and fall to the ground. I lift up one of my legs before he runs towards me and I get up pretending like it's nothing. I hate it feeling like this. There is nothing to gain from this weak body.

"I will not rest until I find her." my voice cracks a little and I cough again. "I've been restraining myself. I cannot bear to live anymore. What's the point if I can't see her? Hear her? She's the only one I live for..."
