𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗼𝘇𝗹𝗲𝗿!(𝟭/𝟰)

I moved to a small town of Snapville, because the town folks claimed to have seen a creature dwelling in their lake. Some says that whoever goes to the lake never come back. I booked a cabin in the woods, I like peace and quiet so I can do my research without being disturbed. I noticed that this incidents happens only at night

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭:
This area is hot. I got out and took a walk looking for the town's pool and my guess, it was closed. More like off limits, no one was allowed to go in. The this old man came

𝗢𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗻: I've never seen u around here. Get out of here boy before it's too late
𝗠𝗲: before what??, Do u mind if I take a statement. Have u seen the creature?
𝗢𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗻: boy don't go around askinf questions. Do go around the lake. No one has survived it's call.....only..I did

He left. What did he mean by “no one survived it's call”. This is getting more weirder and strangier. I went to the town to get some food, then I came upon this weird picture. “THE LEGEND OF THE GONGOOZLER” what is a gongoozler?? I asked my self.

𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲: that is what in the lake child. Pardon me, my name is Mable
𝗠𝗲: nice to meet u, am chad. Have u seen the creature?
𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: no Child but I know it's there. Not many people that have seen it survived

Then that old man from earlier came. And suddenly he ran off. ODD?

There's something that man knows. I went back to the cabin. On the door I found a paper written ( LW'V XJKD RP: Three letters back).

Three letters back?, I went inside. There's only one code with that can decipher that and it's the caeser cipher . I decoded it and it said.

What does that mean!!

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗼𝘇𝗹𝗲𝗿!(𝟮/𝟰)

What does this message mean. Who sent it?, Could it had been Jinkins?, Mable?, Coz they are the only people I know here. My camera package and set came in. I plugged the cameras across the woods, even near the lake which was scary for me. I ran out like a kitchen 😹. All the cameras were set. I sat there looking at surveillance for any movement or disturbance in the woods of Snapville. Night fell and I ended up sleeping. Then I heard a beep, from one of the cameras facing the lake. Interesting. I saw a person, who was wearing a long robe . I couldn't see their face coz their camera was facing at the back. Judging from the figure it was a woman. She stood in front of the lake. Something appeared, which held her feet and dragged her down the lake!!

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮:
I didn't get sleep after that. I went to the cafè where Mable was working at. I ordered coffee.

𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: here u go sir. Do u need anything else
𝗠𝗲: Uhm sir😹. Mable it's me chad
𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: Uhm I don't know u. Maybe ur mistaken with someone else

That was weird. I took my coffee and got our. I asked people where old man Jinkins what Stayin' and they gave me his location. A junkyard. What!!

𝗝𝗶𝗻𝗸i𝗻: what are u doing here boy
𝗠𝗲: we need to talk.
𝗝𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻: come on in (I went inside) what do u want to talk about?
𝗠𝗲: everything regarding bout the gongoozler
𝗝𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻: this creatures are not from here. There is a dimension rift opening a gateway in the lake where they come to our world to feed. It was also in the town's pool that's why it was closed
𝗠𝗲: how do u know this.
𝗝𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻: I was once a researcher like u. My partner got bitten by one of those and In exact 3 days he turned into one. Here, take this journal. It might help u. One thing is that gongoozlers have short term memory. They forget everything the day after today.

This is crazy!!

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗼𝘇𝗹𝗲𝗿!(𝟯/𝟰)

This creatures have sharp razer teeth and claws, eat raw meat and can be humans when out of the water. This is a lot, much research will finally pay off. I passed at the cafe and saw mable coming out

𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: hey Chad
𝗠𝗲: hey..Mable. u were acting weird earlier. Is everything ok
𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: yeah totally. Hey gotta deliver this orders. See ya

She left. On her legs she has scratches. Those aren't dog or cat scratches. I went back to the cabin. It was now at night, I went to sleep coz today was a busy day. After 10-20 minutes, I heard singing. Beautiful voice singing. My cameras were beeping. I went to check. I saw one of the locals walking towards something in the water. It was Mable! She was the one singing. Gongoozlers attract their preys through singing. She was attracting the person. That's when she turned into this hideous thing, her face changed. She...she ate the person, then swam into the water. This explains everything. The time Jinkins ran away when she saw me with Mable. He must be the one that left the note (It's among us). It was Mable all this time!!

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟯:
I woke up, did my morning routines and went out. I headed to the cafè for my coffee. Mable was not there. I asked one of the worker's and they said they never saw her today. I went at Jinkins, he was sitting outside

𝗝𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻: u now know the truth
𝗠𝗲: u knew it her all along.
𝗝𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻: yes and now it's time to take care of this. Time to go fishing..

Question: what do u think bout jinkin and Mable. And where is Mable now?

Jinkins is a weird old man. Not sure if I can trust this guy. We went to the lake. I've never been so close to it. We set our boat ⛵ and sailed.

He tried to strangle me but I didn't let him. I saw a fin coming towards us, I tried throwing a hook but jinkin stopped me. We fought till the boat flipped over. He was trying to feed me to that monster. I swam out of the water and told jinkin to get out but he didn't listen. The gongoozler...well it ate him. His parts left floating above the water. As I tried to ran, it sang. I couldn't resist. It was leading me to it's mouth. A person ran towards me holding a spear, She tossed it to the gongoozlers mouth which killed it. I was free from the siren song

𝗠𝗲: IMPOSSIBLE, MABLE!! I thought u were that thing
𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: hey Chad. No I wasn't that thing. Those things are shape shifters too. Jinkin had held me captured and told me about his plan how he was going to trick u into being the main course
𝗠𝗲: how did u resist
𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: earbuds. There's a lot u need to know bout Jinkins

Unbelievable. This is insane. She told everything on how Jinkins was a scientist. He turned his fish into that. Lab accident. His assistant bailed on him. Over the years people disappearing was all him. But to make it cover it, he made himself crazy so people wouldn't suspect him.
