The Island

𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗢 𝗗𝗘𝗟 𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗢 (lake monster)

One night, in a town of Stockwood, an old man was in his cabin sitting in a rocking chair reading a newspaper. After a moment of silence, his dog lifted it's head. It stood up and went by the door, sobbing and barking. The old man stood up and went to it, the dog wasn't looking at his direction. So the old man opened the door. The dog  quickly ran out and went in the woods. The man, carrying a lamp, went after it.

He whistled and whistled but the dog wasn't In sight. The man was walking in woods, until he heard an eerie sound. Dead branches clicking, owls howling, the old man got scared so he decided to go back to his cabin. Then there was bark. He didn't want to go, but his heart pushed him. He followed the bark until he arrived to his dog.

“what is it boy?”

The dog was barking on an island across the lake. It's bark was echoing and then it suddenly stopped. The man looked at the bubbling water....., That's when the lake turned Red. His eyes was caught on the waters transformation that he didn't noticed his dog had ran away. As he lifted his heard, the island was gone. He looked at the water, it has turned normal.

Out of a sudden there was a shadow covering the moon's light above him. As he looked in the water's reflection, he saw this creature with big red eyes. The creature roared at him, as it swooped the man with its enormous hand and ate the man.

For months, the man was never seen. And the island still moves.
