The old monitor

I work in a old building the building had a old monitor no one knows who sits on that desk, they had rumors talking about the old monitor, at 12:00 am they say the monitor will turn on and will have timer for one minute, the monitor will give you 1 minute to find the exit and if you don't find the exit you will be killed, your name and everything about you will disappear like you never existed, I never believed in those stories because I thought it was a childish thing or a prank to scare the others.

One night I was at the building the time was 11:58 I did my job to finish all my papers so I can get back home soon when the time turned 12 o'clock the lights were flickering when the lights stopped flickering the old monitor had a timer for one minute I didn't really mind about it I thought it was a prank I yelled " Guys, it not funny I know your just trying to make me scared" no one answered, I was starting to feel scared so I yelled one more time and no one answered so I knew what to do I have to find the exit so as I ran to find the exit I heard people screams I was starting to feel really scared so I kept on running trying to find the exit as I found the exit I run to the door only having 5 seconds left as I escaped I woke up on my desk and there was a sheet of paper I looked at the paper it had a note " I will get you next time".

I quit my job and worked at a restaurant I still think of the old monitor and those screams I heard when I sleep I hear the screams again like the monitor was calling me...
