Amity takes a deep breath, yawning and outstretching her arms. She looks around, trying to remember where she is. She's in Luz's room. The memories flood back to her. Ghost hops onto her chest and curls up, knowing her Palisman, she'd be there for awhile.

Willow had woken up fairly early, which was standard for her, and she was trying to think of the positives. She was just sitting on the floor humming.

"Where's Luz?" Amity said after a beat.

"She went downstairs to make breakfast with her mom!" Willow nodded slightly, her head upturned.

Amity paused, "Should we go help her?" She looked rather worried, or at least nervous.

Willow placed a reassuring hand on Amity's shoulder.
"I think she'll be OK." She smiled calmly.

Clover buzzed around Willow, getting swatted at by Ghost, in which Amity slightly writhed in pain, wincing as the felines claws dug deep into her skin.

Camila was preparing pancakes, but Luz wanted to help, which turned into a small disaster but they both recovered. Luz just wanted to have fun with her mom. Vee was curled up on the couch watching TV, basking in the sun like a cat.

Hunter woke up last, he slept curled up in the fetal position as tight as possible, yet somehow he woke up sprawled across the floor. He blushed slightly, embarrassed about sleeping in. His body really needed that sleep. Gus waved him over to the basement couch. He strode over, still embarrassed, his ears dusted in blush and face flushed looking. Flapjack chirped, landing on Hunters shoulder. Hunter sat on the couch and Gus excitedly showed him some human stuff he had found. A spare tire, some party masks, a snake stuffed animal, and anything else he'd gotten his hands on. Hunter refused to show whether or not he cared, which trust me, he did. He was quite fascinated, but didn't want to swallow his pride.

Hunter hardly missed the Boiling Isles, unfortunately, there was hardly anything there for him, but he still didn't feel as though he fit in here. He sighed slightly, his pointy ears drooping ever so slightly. He was nothing more than half a witch, not even a witch.. He was a Grimwalker. He'd dug himself into a hole and now he had to lie in it. Gus noticed his reserved expression, but didn't want to engage, in fear of making things worse.

"Let's head upstairs! I bet the others are awake!" Gus broke the long silence, linking arms with Hunter and dragging him playfully up the stairs.

The two boys stopped in the kitchen.
"Morning, Luz's mom!" Gus said eagerly.

"Please, you can call me Camila." She smiled, wiping pancake batter off her hands with a towel.

"Well, good morning Camila!!" Gus beamed slightly, despite all going on, he was fairly excited, and just as curious about humans as he had always been. Hunter didn't say anything, just bowed his head towards Camila, resisting the urge to kneel and shuffling his feet.

Luz sprinted to the stairwell, stopping at the bottom step and calling to Amity and Willow. "Breakfast!!" she yelled.

She made her way back to the kitchen and sat at the table. Gus sat down there too, and Hunter just stood quietly waiting for some form of verbal direction. Willow hopped down the stairs with Amity trailing behind her. They sat at the table. All of the Palisman sat on the floor beside their respective owners. Ghost was clutching a stuffed animal in her mouth, purring lightly. Vee sat at the table as well, turning into her human form to make it easier to eat. Camila presented plates of pancakes to each small gay child. She gave them all 2 to start, but made it very clear they could grab more if they wanted. She then went to the living room to eat. Luz split an extra pancake into 4 pieces and gave 1 to each Palisman. Willow took a timid bite, then dug in, calmly but making it evident she was hungry. Luz loved pancakes and had no hesitation to eat them. Vee has them once before, but this time it was blueberry, not chocolate chip, so it piqued her interest, in a sense. She enjoyed them greatly though. Gus took a bite with no fear, then continued eating with very little pauses between bites. Amity visibly hesitated, then drew in a breath and took a bite. She smiled slightly, continuing to eat. Everyone finished within about 10 minutes, but then Luz glanced over at Hunter. He'd never taken his seat, and was still holding the pancakes in his hand, gripping the plate. Part of him looked to be holding back tears, and no bites were taken out of the pancakes.
"Aren't you hungry, Hunter?" She said.
"I can manage." He said quietly, a somber edge to his voice.
"That's not what I asked.. Are you hungry?" She said.
"Maybe a little, but back in the Empero-"
"You aren't there anymore. Eat as much as you'd like." She smiled slightly.

Hunter winces anxiously, then sat on the floor with his legs crossed and took a slow bite. Hunter didn't know how to adjust from basically a cult to this-. His eyes lit up and he continued to eat. Willow giggled with a blush, which made Hunter freeze up for a moment before he continued his meal.

This would take some getting used to.
