♡ Dave and Bambi: Dreamscapes ♡

He's Dave!

Somehow, you find yourself standing in front of a fountain. You dip two of your hands in the water. There's no bottom. You dip your feet in, sitting on the ledge so you don't fall in. Suddenly, a creature appears from within the water, causing you to fall back.
The creature is a bit creepy, though he doesn't seem interested in harming you. He assists you off the ground using one of his four hands. He lifts you up, studying you curiously.
"Badtrix! Put them down!" David shouts from behind you. Where did he come from?
Badtrix obeys, and you fall into the bottomless fountain.
"Badtrix! That's not what I meant!" You hear David shout from above.
But it's too late now. You're falling down the bottomless fountain, unable to swim out. You do try though, flailing your little arms about. It doesn't work.
You look down, hoping to see a bottom. There's nothing there, just an abyss full of water. Not a single breath reaches your lungs. Your chest aches like hell, yet you feel at peace somehow. The gentle push of the water...the slow falling...the sound of the wind pushing through...it's relaxing. Almost makes you forget that you're dying!
Then, out of nowhere, you're not dying. A bubble of air had surrounded your head. There's a man holding onto that bubble, the man you had been looking for all day.
Dave tries to shout something to you, but his voice is muffled by the water. He points upward...he wants you to swim out.
"I can't swim!" You tell him.
Dave thinks for a second. Then he grabs one of your arms and pushes you guys upward. He's better at working those arms than you are!
Eventually the two of you reach the top. Dave crashes onto the ground, coughing up water. He holds his chest and looks around. He frowns once he sees David.
"Heeeey Dave~" David says, wearing his smug smile.
"Screw you. Gimme that wheelchair." Dave demands.
"Uh...no? I need this." David replies.
"So do I." Dave pulls himself up and squeezes next to David in the chair.
Dave sighs. "I still haven't figured out how to communicate with Bambi."
"Ha, L." David remarks.
"If you don't shut up-"
"Calm down Dave! There's children around." David points to you and Badtrix. Dave frowns.
"I know where Bambi is." You say.
Dave lights up. "Really?"
You nod.
Dave pushes David out of the chair. "Bring me to him."
You begin to follow your steps back to Dale's restaurant. As you're traveling, you hear someone whisper, "We were supposed to drown."
You look around. There's no one else around. The voice must be in your head. They started talking nonsense so you decided to ignore them.
The two of you arrive at the restaurant. Looking at it sends a chill down your spine now that you know its true purpose; To lure in unsuspecting customers with delicious strawberry cake, only to cook them alive. You're sure to warn Dave about this.
"Don't worry! I've dealt with Dale before." Dave rolls inside the restaurant, and you float behind.
The interior is...different now. Dark and empty...not a single customer remains. It reeks of a smell you can't quite recognise, yet it feels familiar somehow. It's strangely metallic, the same smell you can expect from a penny, but stronger. There's indistinct lumps of matter on the ground. You slowly float towards one of the lumps. The smell gets stronger as you approach. Your hands and knees get covered in a thick liquid...turns out the lumps are dead bodies. Dale had turned the restaurant into a bloodbath.
"Hey Kid, we have to go!" Dave tugs on your arm. Your body can't seem to carry you to the kitchen. The sight standing before you has frozen you in place.
"Kid! We have to get outta here before-" An leg wraps around Dave's neck, interrupting him mid-sentence. The stress builds, making it impossible for you to breathe. The only adult you had is gone...you're helpless at the hands of a monster. A monster much larger and stronger than yourself.
And the stress builds so much
that you dissociate.
