Eating Corn at Night

The clouds form back around you. The sky is a blue-ish purple, littered with bright stars and a couple of asteroids flying by. The couple has reappeared. Their glitchy condition seems to cause them pain now, for they lay together, writhing and crying. Something looms over you; It's Hazardous, appearing discontent.
"You've failed my task and injured my prisoners," He picks you up, squeezing your stomach tight. "Dreamknit, I think it's time for you to go."
Hazardous throws you off the cloud, leaving you plummeting to the ground below. You land in a bush, only sustaining a few cracks after the fall.
What a jerk. You dust off the branches and dirt poked into your side before approaching the barn. The door is locked for some reason so you knock on it. Your knocks are answered by Bandu, who maintains his friendly demeanor despite looking exhausted.
"Oh, you're back," He says. "Um...sorry for how I acted earlier. That pit does some crazy things to ya. Anyway, come in, but don't go near Dave or Bambi."
You follow his instructions, sitting down on a hay bed away from the two. Bambi and Dave sleep across from you. They're low resolution and glitchy, similar to Boyfriend and Girlfriend. Bandu hands you some Skittles and sits down next to you.
"I found some better candy for ya. So, found Expunged yet?"
You shake your head. It's a lie, but in this case it's easier than telling the truth.
"Dang." Bandu's face turns sorrowful.
The room turns silent, the only sound being the wind blowing through the maize, which you can see through the window. That beautiful, alluring corn...that sweet, sweet corn. You float out the door towards that delectable corn. This time Bambi's not here to stop you. You can have as much corn as you'd like. You shove some into all 10 of your hands. Bandu does something similar, using his broken phones as a basket to hold his stash of corn. The two of you walk through the maize, eating corn, discarding it, then taking more. You eat and eat until you're too stuffed to move, crashing onto the grassy ground below. Bandu giggles as he chews down the last bit of his cob before chucking it away.
"Wow! You had the right idea, Dreamknit. This corn's awesome!" He continues to giggle as he looks up at the stars.
"I wish Expunged was here to see this," Bandu says, his energy depleted. "We've never seen this many stars before." He takes a deep breath, dropping his phones to his side.
"Y'know, I feel kinda bad for taking his throne. If I never did that...maybe he wouldn't have left." Tears begin to build up in Bandu's eyes. He quickly wipes them away.
Someone else takes over your body. He isn't violent though; He's gentle, willing to say the things you've withheld.
"Conbi imprisoned Expunged. He escaped but...I don't exactly know where he is now."
Bandu's eyes widen. "Really?"
You gain control again. "Yes...really."
Bandu slaps you with a phone, playfully, unlike Bambi. He sits up and laughs his tail off. He laughs and laughs for about 30 seconds before sitting up and grabbing some more corn.
"I can't believe Conbi thought he could imprison EXPUNGED of all people," Bandu says with his mouth full. "That's so funny bro. Thanks for telling me." He hands you some more candy, and this time they're M&Ms. You store them in your hat to be eaten later.
You stare up at the stars. Somehow they feel like a part of you. In another life, you would've lived up there. You would've danced among the stars, blissful and alone. Until the Conbi's took over, using you as a toy to keep the younger gods at bay before discarding of your body to be deleted.
At the same time, those memories don't feel like your own. As far as you're aware, you were just born yesterday. So...where do these memories come from?
You turn to Bandu. He's fallen asleep with a content look on his face. You carry him back to the barn, toting him like an oversized backpack. Then you lay him on a pile of hay, the area where you laid previously. He adjusts his posture, getting comfortable in his new bed. You prepare to lay down with him until you find something, or someone rather, wandering through the maize. You go out to investigate.
It's Holy Expunged, replenishing the corn that you and Bandu had eaten. The vegetable seemed to appear from his fingertips. It was remarkable, really. He notices you.
"𝓦𝓱𝓪𝓽'𝓻𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓭𝓸𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓸𝓾𝓽 𝓼𝓸 𝓵𝓪𝓽𝓮?" He asks.
You shrug.
"𝓘 𝓰𝓾𝓮𝓼𝓼 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓶𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽 𝓪𝓼 𝔀𝓮𝓵𝓵 𝓼𝓽𝓪𝔂. 𝓘𝓽 𝓰𝓮𝓽𝓼 𝓵𝓸𝓷𝓮𝓵𝔂 𝓸𝓾𝓽 𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓮." Holy continues to make corn. You follow him as he travels throughout the field. Despite not saying a word to you, he seems to enjoy your company.
But all of a sudden, you fall down a hole in the ground. You hit a rocky bottom. Then the rocks seem to glow in shades of violet and lilac, like a cave of amethyst. You try to float out, but end up falling back down.
I guess you're stuck here now.
