First I saw the coyote running faster and faster towards me. Then something caught my eye. It was a hawk, diving towards me. I couldn't keep my eyes off the razor sharp beak and claws. Apparently the coyote noticed to and ran even faster. The hawk dived for me, and just before I ducked I saw not barbaric hawk eyes, but pleading, frightened, light blue eyes of a boy who is trapped. Sadly, I wasn't fast enough when I ducked. I felt the claws of the hawk rip through my skin. I screamed with white-hot pain. I collapsed onto the asphalt. I started to lose consciousness but before I did I saw the coyote leap over me where my head had been just moments before.
