"What? How? My scars.. they're healed!" I exclaimed in astonishment. I suddenly noticed that i didn't feel the pain anymore, i had been too focused on other things.
"Yes, sweetie. They are healed. Which makes you part of the elvish family, but where?" She tapped her chin. "Ah well, I can guarantee that The Evil One will know." She lunged for me. I ducked out of the way and she got thrown into the dungeon that was behind me. She landed with a thud. She stood up and flipped me off. I flipped her off back and the portal closed.
The hospital wall was back. My dad was sleeping. "Wake up, dad. It's time to go home." He looked startled. "What happened? Why are you up and moving? Where are your bandages?" Inside I had a pang of guilt and worry. What would my dad say to what happened? "The nurse came in and took it off. She released me to go home."
"Ok then," he stifled a yawn, "lets go home."
I helped my father up from his chair. We slowly walked out of the hospital room. We never saw the eyes staring at us....
