"We were supposed to be headed to Darcie's after, remember? She told us to be there early?" Brooke complains as she stumbles after Miko through the woods, who was speed walking. 

"Yeah, true, but also, the other half of the body still hasn't been found yet. And I'm gonna be the one to find it" Miko proclaims and Brooke scoffs. 

"You're still on about that? Jesus, we're gonna miss the party" Brooke mutters to herself. 

"Relax, we'll make the party. We've still got about an hour before Darc is expecting us. We'll find the body, I'll call my pops and I'll rub it in Stiles face that I was the one to find it." Miko explains and Brooke shakes her head.

"Gee, I wish I would've known I would be searching for half a body today. I could've possibly came up with an excuse to find my own way to the party so I didn't have to suffer" Brooke calls out and Miko chuckles, shrugging.

They wander around aimlessly for a bit, Brooke dragging her feet in boredom as Miko looks all over the place when Miko suddenly gasps, stopping her.

"What?" Brooke looks, trying to figure out what the problem was while Miko drags her behind a tree. "What was it?" Brooke whispers.

Miko nods his head forward before glancing out and Brooke peaks out to see a house. The house they had been to before with Darcie. Though no one had been living in it and they'd mostly be messing around. Now though, a car was parked outside and there was a man wandering around near the front.

"Who is that?" Brooke whispers and Miko leans closer to whisper to her.

"I've heard about him before. You remember the story I told you about this house? When it was burned down and killed a bunch of people? He was one of the only survivors. Derek Hale. He had left but I guess he decided to come back" Miko explains.

The two watch as he climbs into his car and drives off, both of them hiding behind the tree again as his car passes them, holding their breaths. They both breathe a sigh of relief once the car disappears from view, glancing at one another.

"Should we investigate?" Miko whispers but Brooke shakes her head. 

"No, no, I think we've investigated enough for today. We should go before Darcie throws a fit" Miko sighs but nods in agreement and with one last glance at the house, they head off towards where they left their bikes.

"Finally! You two were supposed to be here a half an hour ago!" Darcie starts shoving alcohol into Miko's hands. "Go put this on the table set up outside. Then go find Lydia and Jackson. They should be around there, probably making out but they wanted your help with something." Miko shrugs, heading out back and Darcie turns to look at Brooke. 

"What did he drag you into this time?" She wonders in amusement and Brooke rolls her eyes. 

"We went to go look for the other half of the body" Darcie shakes her head, chuckling as she grabs decorations to start hanging up along the foyer.

"I should've known. Any luck?" Brooke shakes her head, moving to help. 

"The only interesting thing was Derek Hale came back apparently. He's living in that burnt down house in the woods we'd hang out in" Darcie whistles lowly.

"Why'd he want to do that? Didn't his family all die there?" Brooke nods, shrugging. 

"He's got a nice car at least" Brooke says and Darcie laughs.

"Good for him, I guess. Hold these" She hands Brooke some decorations and wanders off, coming back with a step ladder. 

Brooke looks around, her eyes zeroing in on a red solo cup. She raises an eyebrow over at Darcie who places the stepladder down, getting ready to climb up it. "Hey, whoa" Brooke steps forward to place a hand over Darcie's who turns to raise an eyebrow at her.
