Fatima Wilson

"I think the biggest part no one talks about is what was causing the reasons being the stone." Professor Banks said.

Her timer dinged finally, "Alright that's it today, I expect a 10 page essay handed in or emailed to me by Monday morning." She said as everyone got their things.

Fatima was happy she had already 6 pages of her essay done because she hated having to type up so much all day long.

"Wait Wilson and Brown," she stopped the two, "Have either of you read this?" They looked down at the book in her hand.

"I started it last year but never got to finish it." Yomi Brown said while Fatima shook her head, had never seen the book before.

"I'm working on a project with this group and my next group on this book and I'd love if one of you would join in with the guy to teach a class on it." She explained.

Yomi shook her head, "I'm out, I only have half a page of my essay done." She thanked Professor Banks for the offer but declined.

"Wilson?"  Fatima thought on it before nodding, "I only have 4 pages to go and I can knock that out in two days so why not?"

"Omg thank you, meet here after class at 5:30 and I'll get you all started." She spoke and shook Fatima's hand before T left.

She went to the coffee spot right outside campus and met up with her study group, Greg, Hannah, Trinity, Jayden, and Avery.

Greg was a white boy who had been studying Law, his dad wanted him to be a lawyer and surprising it's what he wanted as well.

Hannah was studying Chemistry, she wants to become a scientist and discover the cure for cancer. Let's just say her hopes are high.

Trinity was a influencer but she was studying business and being an entrepreneur to open her dose of beauty bar.

Both Jayden and Avery played ball and we're definitely going to get drafted soon, they're both on basketball scholarships.

"I'm trying to figure out what's the meaning behind the scenes of the earth?" Avery said reading from his paper.

"Let me guess "Smith"" they all laughed knowing who assigned the paper. Professor Smith always has elaborate bullshit ideas.

Last year he made Fatima write a whole paper on why the fridge light goes off when the door closes, she got a b-, but took it.

"I have to finish my paper on Medusa and the stone figures." Trinity spoke, "I do too but I only have 4 pages left so you know."

"How do you always do stuff so fast T?" Jayden asked taking a piece of her bagel. "The same way you steal my food so fast." They all laughed after.

"Fatima?" She looked up and Zac was standing there with a Mocha latte, his favorite. "Oh hi zac," she greeted with a smile.

"Studying I see," he pointed to all the papers splattered across the two square tables they put together.

"Always," she chuckles, "Well I'll let you get to it,"  he nodded before walking away, she knew he was going to Banks because he had her after she did.

This was her free period and next she had Willis, "Y'all still doing that?" Trin asked as she sipped her strawberry drink.

"Doing what?" Fatima asked as she took the top off her Vanilla Bean Creme. "Acting like y'all not obviously in love." Jayden spoke.

Fatima slapped his hand off her food, "We're not inlove he's dating my best friend, I wish everyone would let it go."

Fatima was honestly tired of people trying to pin her and Zac together from her mom to her professors to the damn college students.

Everywhere she turned they were 'y'all still broke up?' , 'you and her still friends' she wish people would let her live.

"I still can't believe you still living with that girl and saying she's your best friend." Hannah spoke shrugging. "She is." T mumbled.

"Best friends don't do that Fatima. Trust I would know." Greg spoke after, "Okay can we study? Please and thank you."

Hannah opened her book and started reading about Medusa, Trin focused on her assessment on Hunger games, Greg was doing Chem.

Jayden focused more on his phone, Fatima stared at her computer but after all the Zac talk she couldn't type.

flashback

"Zac you always doing that stop." Fatima laughed pushing his hands away as he typed rapidly on his computer.

She was writing an essay and he was done with his studying so he had began to bother her like always. "You always type slow Tt." He pouted playfully.

"Because I don't use grammarly, I actually have to correct my errors." She jabbed, "Uh shade?" He said as if he was a girl causing her to laugh.

"I only have to write this last sentence hold up." He paused as she typed for what felt like 20 minutes before she finally put enter.

She submitted it to Professor Johnson and closed her MacBook Pro. "Okay my attention is all yours." She said sarcastically. "FINALLYYYY." He dragged.

"Look I want us to make this," he showed her some seafood but with noodles. "Let's go get it right now." She grabbed her keys.

He slipped on his slides and grabbed his Vlone hoodie she got him for Christmas and she grabbed her matching one he had gotten her.

"Wanna be my twin so bad," he laughed and she rolled her eyes playfully, they left the house and hopped in the car.

flashback over

"Fatima!" She jumped hearing fingers snap in her face, "What?" She asked, "Girl we asked did you do the calculus paper for Green?"

"Oh yea I did, I did like 4 of them because I couldn't decide which one he'd grade a A."  She started pulling out the papers and handed them around.

"Thank you lord cause I did not do it and it's due in 2 days." Trinity said re-reading my paper, her, Avery and Hannah needed them.

They studied for about 30 more minutes before they all departed and went to their classes. Fatima had Willis with Shy.

She settled into class, "Hey bitch, you left early this morning." Shy spoke to her. "I went for breakfast with Darius."

"Oh y'all ass done made up? After you busted his lip and damn near blacked his eye?" Shy whispered not wanting people in they conversation

"Girl shut up." Fatima laughed, Willis soon entered and started his class. Fatima sat there staring into space.

Wondering what was she doing with her life.
