*A/N Hola! As some of you have noticed, we have been inconsistent with publishing. I will say now that some chapters will probably take two weeks to be published. We've been taking longer than expected to write this book, and some chapters are harder to get just right than others. Hopefully it won't take longer than two weeks to publish at a time. Anyway, happy reading!

Lloyd's POV

A light breeze drifted across the monastery courtyard, stirring up fallen leaves and sending them twirling and twisting across the ground. The sun was just starting to set across the sky, casting its vibrant hues and notifying me of how late it was getting. I paced across the courtyard, growing impatient as there was still no sign of the girls.

Tonight was the night of the Autumn Ball and I originally planned to leave ten minutes early for safety reasons, but that idea was quickly thrown out the window when it came to the females getting dressed. I stopped my restless pacing and scanned the ninja who had joined me outside. Jay and Cole were dressed in tuxedos and playing rock, paper, clamp to pass time, and Zane, Kai, and I were dressed in our gis, standing around as we waited.

Just from my quick glance at them, I could tell they were all getting impatient, even Zane seemed to be getting annoyed.

I always knew girls took forever to get ready, but this was just ridiculous. Even Kai, who takes hours gelling up his hair didn't take this long.

Finally, I had enough waiting and began walking towards the front door to retrieve the girls, just as it opened up. I paused and blinked at the bright light that flooded the courtyard. My eyes quickly adjusted and my jaw almost dropped as I spotted the figures of the girls, glowing softly in the light.

They were all stunning, but I had eyes only for the girl in jade green. Her dress fit perfectly around her waist, hugging her slender figure which was further accented by golden shimmery fabric tied around her middle. Her arms had the same golden fabric that floated about her with every slight gust of wind and movement. Her snow white hair was also done beautifully, falling nearly to her waist in soft curls.

The thing that caught my attention the most though, was her bight red lips, curled into a familiar smile that I recognized from years ago. It was a genuine one filled with warmth and happiness that caused a wave of nostalgia to wash over me.

A shoulder nudge snapped me out of my trance as a familiar voice whispered in my ear, "You're looking a little starry eyed, Green Bean." I shook my head and glared at Kai who was smirking at me, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Unfortunately I didn't have time to shoot my own remark as Nya was leading Harumi right over to me. The poison affecting Harumi's sight had worn off significantly, but the girl still needed some guidance and assistance from us.

Knowing what Nya was doing, I held out my arm, allowing the raven haired girl to guide Harumi's hand over it. Up close, I could almost swear the white haired girl was blushing, but it was gone instantly, making me second guess. She opened her mouth like she was about to say something, but then closed it and looked away from me.

With some difficulty, I pulled my gaze away from the shimmering emerald besides me and cleared my throat, causing the others to shift closer.

"Alright everyone, you all know the plan. If anything, and I mean anything, seems out of place, you inform me immediately. If there just so happens to be an attack, the emperor is to be moved to safety. His personal bodyguards should be there to take care of him, but I want you, Kai, to have eyes on him just in case. Is that clear?" My voice rang with authority, brooking no argument. Everyone nodded their head, showing their understanding.
