✨Y/N P.O.V

Y/n walked back into town, just to bump into a familiar tall figure.

" Jesper !" She exclaimed.

" Y/n ! Did you find her ? The sun summoner?"

" I did ."

" Where is she ? "

" A little secret between us, I let her go."

" Kaz is not going to be happy."

" Jes, please don't tell. " Y/n pleaded.

" I won't. Let's hope he doesn't know." The Zemini boy stated. He then gestured for her to follow him through the crowd.

" Did you find her ?" Kaz deadpanned as the healer and Sharpshooter approached him.

" No boss." Jesper shrugged.

Brekker huffed as his gaze shifted to the E/c -ed girl.

" What about you " Kaz asked the shorter girl.

" No sign of her."

" Fine. Then, may I talk to you. Alone."

" Ofcourse."

With that, the girl followed the Bastard of the Barrel into the Tavern.

" Two beers " Brekker gritted to the barmaid.

" I'll not ask again. Where is the sun summoner? " He turned his gaze to the Healer, who was shifting in her seat.

" I don't know."

" Answer me truthfully, Y/n. I'm a thief. I know liars when I see them."

" Fine, I might have let her go."

" You did. What ?!" Brekker yelled quietly, causing Y/n to flinch.

It took her right back to the Menagerie, when angry customers would yell at her for ' not being good enough.' Some of them even beat her. But what did Heleen care about this ? As long as she was getting paid, Heleen didn't give two fucks about what her girls went through. She enjoyed this work.
