You are secretly part of the Hellfire Club and have a massive crush on Gareth. You are also a cheerleader, which means that you do not sit at the Hellfire table during lunch, you sit with the other cheerleaders and the boys in the basketball team. You desperately wanted to sit with them, the Hellfire boys, because you realised that they were your people. One day, after grabbing your lunch, you head straight for the Hellfire table instead of the 'popular' table after having a change of heart. Gareth had given you the cold shoulder after he asked you to sit with him at lunch and you refused.
My heartbeat quickens with each step I take towards the Hellfire table. I refuse to listen to the whispers and the confused stares when I walk straight past the 'popular' table, I also ignore the calls from Chrissy, Jason, Megan and Linda.
Once I'm stood at the head of the Hellfire table, I nervously clear my throat in order to grab the boy's attention.
Jeff nudges Gareth, who was in a deep and passionate conversation with Eddie.
"What, dude?" Gareth groans before his jaw drops at the sight of you, he fleetingly glances at the tables around us before setting his eyes on you again, "Haven't you got the wrong table?" He asks, sarcastically.
I frown at his coldness, "I um - I was wondering if I could sit here - today - tomorrow - and maybe - from now on?"
The rest of the boys, minus Gareth, are grinning and welcome me with open arms, "Sure - sit!" Eddie explains, gesturing towards a spare seat.
Eventually, after what feels like minutes, Gareth grins once you've sat yourself down next to him. He looks at you with a gleam in his eye, as if he can't believe you're sat with him.
He leant towards you, mumbling,"What made you change your mind?"
You sigh, fighting a massive smile, "Just - you, I couldn't let you down. I like you too much."
His bottom lip falls and the corner of hips lips twitch upward, "I - like you too."
