Lucas and you spend most days after school talking to each-other on your walkie-talkies about anything that you wanted to and felt like talking about. Sometimes your conversations are deep and meaningful, but a lot of the time, your conversations were funny, stupid and immature, they were your favorite times. He was the highlight of most of your days, you are the highlight to his days too.
"What noise does a penguin make Lucas?" I ask, giggling as I hold onto the button that reads my voice.
I can hear him laugh too, causing my stomach to fill with butterflies, to know that he had smiled because of me.
