Nancy when she watches you with your new friends. You and her had previously been best friends, but had grown apart. She misses your friendship, and felt left out when she sees you laughing with other people. Truly, you missed the sleepovers, the study sessions, the gossiping and funny stories with her, it wasn't the same, but you kept a fake smile on your face, trying to make yourself seem happy.
You'd seen her staring at you, it made you shy and you felt yourself blush, but she just looked distressed and because you missed her friendship too, you pat your friend's shoulder, "I'm going to go and see Wheeler, for a minute okay - you can go to the cafeteria without me."
Nancy's eyes widen when she sees that you're walking towards her, she smiles and laughs breathlessly.
"H-hi," I wave, stood in front of her.
"Hey," she answers unsurely, but deep down the two of you are so happy.
