Jonathan when he's trying to hold himself back from kissing you. Him and you were inseparable, but most importantly, best friends. You were so convinced that you and him had a platonic bond, and all the times you felt different, when you felt electricity erupt when you made any kind of contact with him, it was nothing. Jonathan had completely accepted the fact that he had feelings for you, and often found it hard to express his feelings.
Me and Jonathan sat in my front room, sitting opposite each other, very close. I couldn't stand being alone, after the demogorgon's attack on me, only for Jonathan to save me and carry me back home. "I don't want to be alone tonight." I tell him, staring down at my hands, feeling the same feelings I get whenever I'm around him in general.
Jonathan's response was to stare at me, and it was such an intense stare, that I almost felt like I couldn't breathe, and I couldn't look away. I wondered why I felt like this, and couldn't change myself, that I was falling for him, and it was okay, I'd be fine.
"Okay." He mutters, reaching for my hand, and holding it gently, tightly, "I'll stay."
