Two days later:

I finished cleaning the living room as Colson walked in. He had a bag of cheetos in his hand and a beer in the other. Finding out that he's twenty-nine made me over think. He looks younger then that. I fixed the bookshelf as I felt him watching me. I smiled to myself an walked over to the window ledge seat, fixing the pillows.

"Damn you look good". He smirked.

I rolled my eyes and sat down in the chair across the room and grabbed one of the books from the shelf.

"Dont tell me your actually going to read looking like that". He sighed.

I looked down at my sports bra and sweats. I shrugged my shoulders. "Like what"?

"That! There are guys that live here". He said.

"Yeah, my uncle and brother". I laughed.

"Are you forgetting that I'm not related to you? So when you wear shit like that Its gets hard for me to keep my thoughts to a minimum? Do you understand me"? He smirked.

I rolled my eyes again.

He moved from his spot and walked over to me. I kept my stare on my book. "Do you need to see what happens when you make me happy"? He questioned.

I didn't want to look up. If I do then I fold. He knelt down infront of me and held my knees. "Cmon. I never beg". He said and pulled my hand to kiss it.

"No". I smiled.

"No"? He questioned.

I pulled my hand away and stood up, him standing with me. He grabbed the book from my hands and held it up high.

"No fair". I whispered.

"No fair". He copied and his eyes traveled down my body.

"I'll change. Give me my book". I said.

"Dont change". He mumbled and set the book up on the shelf.

"You're very confusing". I whispered and he smirked.

He rested his hands on my hips, pulling me to him. Now I know what he meant eariler. I cleared my throat as he walked us to the couch and at down. He patted his knees for me to sit and I shook my head.

"I'm going to change. You made your point". I smiled and walked off.

"Tease"  he yelled out and I giggled. It's fun getting my way.

As I walked into my room I grabbed a shirt from the closet and threw it on. As I turned around Colson was standing there. I had my fun, I didn't feel like it anymore. He bit his bottom lip and walked closer to me.

"I'm done playing". I mumbled and he shook his head.

"This isn't a game anymore. You know what you're doing and I'm catching on". He smirked and backed me to the wall.

"What am I doing exactly"?

He chuckled and pulled my shirt so I was closer to him.

"Do I have to spell it out for you"? He asked and before I knew it he connected our lips.

In an instant I wrapped my arms around his neck, letting my lips continue. He backed us up to my bed and laid me down as he hovered over me. This wasn't new to me. Just with him it was. It's been so long since I kissed anybody I started to think I was that one girl who was hung up on someone she used to date, pre- pandemic of course. Once I felt his hand go to the waistband of my sweats u pushed him away.

"No more". I huffed.

He chuckled and gave me a small peck before getting off of me.

"You're something else". He laughed and walked out, leaving me there to catch my breath.

That night at dinner Ned talked about his plans when he leaves tomorrow. I still hated the fact but I had to deal with it. I glanced up to see Colson staring at me. That kiss really set me up eariler. What does all of this mean?

"So I'm leaving some cash just in case, I'm going to keep my extra guns here and I'm taking one of the survival kits". He said and took a bite of his chicken.

"Sounds good. What do you want us to do"? Toby asked.

"Toby you will fill in for me here. Colson you're gonna stay with Lilly and make sure you oick up the supply orders. Lilly, I need you to keep them in line"  he smiled.

"This is going to be stunning". Toby laughed.

I kicked Toby under the table but accidentally kicked Colson. He groaned out as Ned glared at me.

"What"?

"Stop that".

I rolled my eyes and took the last piece of chicken and went to clean off my plate.

"I'm going to need updates, I want to keep my ears on this side of Manhattan at all times". Ned spoke.

"Not a problem". Colosn smiled.

"Okay. Well I need to get some sleep. I gotta be up at 4". And with that Ned stood up.

"I love you two". He smiled and pulled Toby and I to him.

"Love you too". Colson chuckled and Ned waved him off laughing.

"What time do you work tomorrow"? Toby asked Colson. He shrugged his shoulders.

"Not sure if I'm going in. I haven't slept in a week". He sighed.

"A week? Why not"? Toby asked.

"You keep me up all night with your pacing up and down the hallway, then when I finally get to sleep Ned wakes up for work so I just stay up".

I felt bad. I didn't know he wasn't sleeping.

"You can sleep on my floor". I blurted out and instantly regretted it.

Toby turned to me and started laughing. "Yeah okay. You won't even let me stand in your room".

"Because you annoy the shit out of me". I smirked.

I grabbed Colsons plate from him once he was done and put it into the sink.

"I guess you can try that. I have some extra blankets". Toby mentioned. "Wanna play Xbox or something before I hit the pillows"? He added.

Colson nodded and Toby walked out if the kitchen and into the living room. A second later I felt colsons hands on my hips. His lips at my ear.

"Keep the bed warm for me". And I lightly elbowed him.

"You still get the floor". I giggled and he rolled his eyes and walked away, leaving me there to do Toby's dish job.
