I was able to do alot more today, other then move fast. I walked over to the sink and noticed a bowl, mug and plate was set out. I smiled knowing that the guys have been really helpful. I grabbed the bowl and went to the fridge to grab the milk. As I sat down Toby came in from thr terrace. He gave me a smile and shut the door, putting the shovel next to it.

"We got about three inches of snow out there." He said and sat next to me.

"Great". I hated snow.

"So Colson has a doctor coming today to look at your ribs. His name is David,  I met him before and he's really nice, kinda nerdy". He laughed.

"Sounds good. Where's Colson"? I asked.

"He went to go fill out our new supply run. He wanted to add his order to ours". He spoke, taking a spoonful of cereal.

"That's not allowed. We could get in trouble".

The thing with supplies can be confusing. When the pandemic first started your family was accounted for. In ours it was my parents, Toby and myself. When Ned came into the picture after my parents died they changed it to just us three. For Colson to get on our supply list one of us would have to get off.

"Well he knows how to pull strings down there. I'm surprised we don't have Pete on our list"  this made me laugh but wince after.

"Sorry. It's good to see you up and moving though. How do you feel"?

I nodded. "Better. Still sore. I just feel helpless. I can't move my arms any more then this". I showed.

"Well if you broke a rib your going to need rest, I just hope it's bruised and that's it. I can afford to leave you stranded again. I need you back to kick ass". He smiled.

Right there the door opened to Colson and some guy wearing a mask. Colson grabbed the bags from the floor and walked them in as the guy opened a medical bag and put it on the table.

"You must be Lillian. I'm Dr. David Kasich.

The man rolled up the sleeves of his long sleeve coat and I saw all of his tattoos. I gave him a smile as he cleaned a little part of the counter off to get some stuff out.

"So what am I looking at today"? He asked.

"Her ribs, we need to make sure nothing is broken". Toby answered.

The doctor smiled and put on a pair of gloves but Toby stopped him. "Shes allergic to latex".

"Oh I'm so sorry. I should have asked. My fault". Dr. David smiled and I nodded.

Colson coughed behind me as I knew what he was thinking. I would of told him eventually. After he changed gloves he had me up and over to the couch so I could lay down. The doctor moved my shirt up my torso until it was over my bra. I felt like that was a bit unnecessary. Even with gloves on his cold hands on my stomach was uncomfortable.

"Okay, so she's pretty swelled up, but nothing is broken". He smiled.

"How do you know"? Toby asked.

"Because nothing is sticking out, but in all honesty we would never know unless we get an xray. That would need time to get anyhow so we can make another appointment". He said and put the stethoscope to my chest then stomach.

"I don't hear weezing, any unusual noises. Just get some ice on this bruise, maybe a heating pad. I give it three days". He said and stood up. Putting his hand back on my stomach.

"What about pain? She can barely move on her own"? Colson mentioned.

"I have a small script of vicoden left. Maybe five pills. She can take when needed for pain". He smiled and handed Colson the bottle.

"Thank you". I smiled.

"No problem. I left my number with your brother so if you need anything please give me a call."

I nodded and put my shirt down as he helped me up off the couch. "Try to not move so much. We don't want to strain the muscle". The doctor added and walked over to his things. One he got everything cleaned up I notice Colson hand the doctor a 100 dollar bill. That made me sad, a doctor, years of medical school can't even do a job because of the pandemic. Good for Colson to give him that. As he walked out Toby followed him to walk him. Colson turned to me and smiled.

"Want a pain pill now"? He asked.

"No. Pain pills aren't my thing". I whispered.

"Well they need to be. This will help with every pain you have and then some. Please take it". He said and stepped closer.

He opened the pill bottle and pulled out one of the big white pills. I groaned and walked to the kitchen to grab a drink. I walked back over and took the pill from him and ingested it.

"Now. You will feel loopy in a little, just let me know if you get there". He smiled.

I sat on the couch. I was now loopy. I turned to see Toby laughing at a movie he was watching and Colson sat on the other chair with his eyes closed. I felt no pain, No matter how I moved. It was like the pain just disappeared and would never come back. I got up and Toby pulled my arm.

"Where are you going"? He whispered, making sure not to wake up Colson.

"To pee. Can I do that"? I sassed.

He let go of my arm and once inside the bathroom I did my business. As I washed my hands and dried them off I lifted Colsons shirt up my torso. The bruise was darker now but that only means it's getting better. I winced as my fingers poked it and sighed.

The sound of the alarm made me flinch and hold my ears.

"Attention room 2301 has an exposure,  I repeat 2301 has an exposure. Please keep all doors locked  and stay in your room"

I walked out of the bathroom to Colson and Toby by the door. Both of them looked out as men in hazmat suits ran by. When will this end?
