"i love you, but.." pt 1

"And that's something I will never change, about you...you are the love of my life, the said male said as he caresses-" Jungkook stops reading as he notices Jimin is now resting his head against his shoulder.

Jimin pouts, looking up to see Jungkook smiling, "Why'd you stop reading?"

Jungkook's heart flutters as he quietly apologizes and continues.

"We can't be together, he said, it's impossible. Our lives are too different, it will never work-"

"Anything is possible, anything can work! You just have to have the heart and determination to make it happen!" Jimin cuts in sternly. "I-Sorry.."

Jungkook smiles, "No no, it's okay. It's adorable when you cut in," He kisses the top of Jimin's head before finishing, "Will I ever...see you again?" He sighs, "Yes...maybe one day, we'll meet again...we'll start over, start something better....so, till then....? Till then...." He closes the book and sighs louder, "The end-"

"That's it?! What?! After all they've been through, they don't even end up together?!"

Jungkook laughs, sitting in front of Jimin now and caresses the smaller's face with one hand.

"I know, I know...sad endings are never satisfying..."

The two sit in the window in silence, looking deeply into each other's eyes, and Jimin finally smiles.

"There it is," Jungkook whispers, "The smile I love so much..."

Jimin looks out the window with a faint blush, and keeps his eyes there. Silently smiling at the busy roads, and bright green trees flowing in the wind, "It's so pretty outside..."

Jungkook keeps his stare on Jimin's face.

Being, mesmerized by Jimin being mesmerized himself.

"You're pretty, too.."

Jimin giggles again, biting his bottom lip, all while continuing to look out the window.

Jungkook makes him nervous, and he knows that...the taller has always made intense eye contact, and the smaller doesn't often know how to handle it.

"Kookie? We should go on a walk later today...the weather looks, nice..."

Jungkook hums in agreement, "Okay, let's do it...should we walk through the park?"

Jimin finally looks at him again, showing the excited smile Jungkook so deeply loves. "I'm assuming that smile means your answer is, yes."

Jimin nods, "Of course! See, you know me so well..."

Jungkook smiles..

Looking into Jimin's eyes.

Then at his button nose.

Then at his lips...

"How can..." He whispers, but fails to make up a sentence.

"Hm?" Jimin tilts his head to the side, confused, and this makes Jungkook chuckle.

"How can you be so...perfect?"

Jimin's eyes widen as he quickly looks away, even redder than before, "Hey! What'd I say about those overly nice compliments-"

"I'm sorry! I just....I mean, it's so true...you are so beautiful...but it isn't just, because of your surreal features...it's-it's much more than that..."

Jimin slowly looks back at him, keeping his head down slightly, "Well...like, what...?"

Jungkook moves in a bit closer, "It's the way you smile, when you're excited. It's...the way you pout when things don't go your way..it's the way you bite your bottom lip just to hold back a smile, cause you want to look tough-"
